The planning board meeting is a democratic event. Members of the public are allowed to speak at the meeting to put forward their point of view in relation to the application. Im sure there'd be quite a few people who'd want to speak as there has been so much comment received. Thats why Ive previously said there might be a special meeting scheduled just to determine this one application. 

If they hold the meeting now, people who dont feel comfortable attending a meeting due to rhe virus might be denied their democratic voice.

Sorry Pap, but you are mistaken mate. At a planning Committee meeting, only elected members of the council and planning officers are allowed to speak. even developers can sit quietly and watch the proceedings, but cannot comment one way or the other.
Any objections would be mentioned by the Lead Planning Officer responsible for the planning application.

Even Councillors that are not on the committee but are raising objections cannot speak. They can only have their objection raised by the Lead Officer. The objections and support should all be written down in the agenda item report, which Councillors usually get a couple of weeks before the meeting takes place

Im not mate. Ive spoken at the meetings on behalf of applicant and been there while objectors have had their say. You are allowed a slot to make a speech. Your slot is usually time limited, say 3 minutes. After the public and the applicant have spoken, the elected members of the planning board (the committee) then debate the application after hearing the arguments made. Thats the point the room has to keep quiet and listen to them. It can be infuriating listening to them spout bollocks and not be able to put them right.

Nottingham Forest can confirm that season card holders in the Peter Taylor Stand can renew their seat from this Wednesday.

The club had planned that major construction work would begin in May this year, however due to delays in the planning process the club is not in a position to start the development at the end of the current season. As a result the club has made the decision to allow season card holders in the Peter Taylor Stand the chance to renew their seat.

The club remains fully committed to the project and will continue to work towards securing all the relevant approvals, and is evaluating the options for the new timescales in order to minimise disruption for supporters.

The renewal period for season card holders in the Peter Taylor Stand will be open from 10am on Wednesday 18th March and remain open until Friday 17th April.

Even if football does resume at some point it will inevitably be behind closed doors to begin with. Feels like they may as well plow ahead (if they can get the planning permission meetings to happen of course) and get started.

Wont need a safety certificate if its empty anyway! In fact wouldn't even need to play at the CG in that situation could play anywhere

Common sense prevails. No business would enter into a contract worth tens of millions of pounds with such uncertainty around their income levels over the next 12 months.

In my opinion, the planning application went in 3 months too late for the construction work to commence in May. It's probably good fortune that it did now.

I'm not sure about the decision to issue a deadline for the Peter Taylor season tickets though. With everyone sat at home and some unable to earn a wage as a result, surely the best thing to do would be to suspend all sales of season tickets until this season's games are resumed?
