The Infrastructure Projects - Duncan Mckenzie - 17-05-2018 Nicholas Randall mentioned about one month ago that an annoucement was imminent regarding 2 infrastructure projects, rumoured to be the Academy and training facilities at Wilford and work to be carried out on updating the City Ground (probably new Peter Taylor Stand roof). It's all gone a bit quiet, anyone heard anything? RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 17-05-2018 I heard about a new roof for the Main Stand last summer not long after the new owners took over. It's long overdue. RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - the jock - 17-05-2018 Im hopefully meeting somebody from the club in 3 weeks. I will ask RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 17-05-2018 That would be great Jock, cheers pal. Looking forward to the news. It's long overdue. New roof will be a waste of money, the Main Stand need to be demolished and rebuilt ...maybe taking some of the car park (as this can be assimilated in a new design). By having a new roof no money will be made, by rebuilding the Main Stand in a two tier stand plus amenities inside it will make the place self financing. We can even move the shop there, and (I dont know if the present shop land is ours or not), replace the shop with a small hotel or some luxury flats. If our aim is the Premiership, these investments must be done before we are there, cause if we make it there it will be hard to limit the ground capacity (at least for a whole season when works on the new stand are ongoing). For me replacing the roof of the main stand is no more then when Fawaz bought the screens... RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - the jock - 18-05-2018 the main stand has been outdated for far too long. would be exciting to build a whole new stand but I wonder how the planning permission would go. RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 18-05-2018 Hearing of a redevelopment of the Peter Taylor/Main Stand to start in 2019. RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - the jock - 18-05-2018 wonder what that will involve mate. RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 20-05-2018 Should me more details out soon. They will probably have to move the changing rooms etc over to the brian Clough Stand, whether that would be permanent or not I don't know. It's going to be interesting, don't look as thhough it will only be a new roof... RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - Duncan Mckenzie - 22-05-2018 Thanks NG3, looking forward to the announcement whenever it will be. Welcome to the forum. RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - the jock - 22-05-2018 Yes. Some say its impossible. Let's see RE: The 2 Infrastructure Projects - Paplane - 22-05-2018 (22-05-2018, 08:33 PM)Yossarian Wrote: Redeveloping the Main Stand is not as complicated as you would believe. |
