Not confirmed though. (02-10-2019, 05:13 PM)BadDog Wrote: All been debunked by the club initial application is just for the one stand. As you were. So it will now be done in two phases instead of one so there is/was an issue. Looks like they are buying themselves more time now by delaying the Bridgford Stand a bit to try and get it sorted.

There is no room to build a second tier in the same style unless the boundary changes. The club does own the house behind with the large garden that would be needed but I was told it is very complicated due to all sorts of laws around change of land use etc...
I’m sure it will be sorted in the end...

Also talk of concourse improvements in other stands and utilisation of the back of the Brian clough stand too. There are some alternative designs for the main stand too

Will the tunnel and changing rooms be moved into the Brian Clough Stand next season or are we going to have some temporary shed type building for changing rooms?

I’d imagine a temporary block will be put in...my guess on the Brian Clough side

So they own the house but it's the 'land use' area they'll have to get around? Perhaps given that it's bringing 100 million or part of that development for the area...the land use may be something they can get past. Given the time it took to announce they must be pretty confident of achieving planning permission. Either way, I've always felt the land the City Ground is on could be optimised more in its footprint... We know there isn't loads and loads of space to play with but I still think what they have could be more efficiently used and the 'new' design points in that direction. Adding an extra 8k capacity will stand Forest in good stead for the future. Again, it's down to innovation. If it's right to light then I'm sure they'll be able to design around it. I'd have thought the Peter Taylor Stand will be part of 'Phase 1' and just that alone would tidy up the City Ground significantly. And the other bits of 'tidying' up design work will give the whole place a lift... The concourses around the City Ground do look a bit out of date. There's lots to do with the City Ground. I quite like the new tab on the official website talking of the 'New City Ground.' The next two years will pass soon enough. SA.

Not sure though.

Really looking forward to seeing the new museum that will be in the new Peter Taylor Stand. Should be some great stuff in there.
