i hope that the improvements to the other stands (ie Brian Clough) will mean that you can go to the loo/get a beer or pie at half time, as at present it is carnage. Need to make sure the rest of the ground isn't miles behind the new PT stand.
It does look amazing, so excited. Hopefully MON/RK still in charge when complete.

I think they should do a season ticket deal that includes a pie and pint at half time, the pies all beautifully cooked (lol) and the beers all ready for a simply present season card to collect system, i'm sure they could show a huge shift in refreshments, quick and cash free, and/or season cards loaded with credit to give the fan more options for more beers/merchandise/programmes etc if required

Looks like plans are now confirmed and looks awesome - can`t wait to see more details - gutted I`ll need a new home for a while :)

I woke up to this announcement at 6am or earlier.  I thought I'd misheard on Radio Nottingham.  '38,000' capacity I heard...  'That's more like it...'

Thought we could get an extra 8k in.

It's not 'just' a Peter Taylor stand.  It's a refurbishment of the entire ground and other stands and facilities.  Perhaps to unify the design of the stands and facia.

A fantastic announcement which augers well for the future.

I heard the press release on Radio Notts this morning.  Forest have a bright future.  But the release of good news was coupled with Nott's financial jeopardy.  They're in deep, deep trouble.

Whilst great news I have immediate short term selfish question in terms of how this affects me as a season ticket holder. By my calculations if the whole of the main stand is to close whilst the season is on then there isn’t enough capacity around the ground, allowing for the present number of season card holders and the away allocation to temporarily rehouse me?

I’m sure / hope there is a very simple and obvious solution that can be communicated to allay those concerns.

"Throughout the build process, it will be imperative to make sure the City Ground is open for football activities, but also to ensure as many fans as possible can attend games, with an inevitable drop in capacity during construction.

"The practicalities of how this will work need to be determined in the coming months, but one option available would be to put the bottom tier in first and potentially open it on matchdays.

Sounds like Post speculation rather than a plan.

I do love the club having a slight dig at Derby and Lesta by calling it the largest stadium in the East Midlands.

They've crowed long enough.  Now it's 'our' time.

38,000 it for the right size for our club. Really happy they didn't go for a super stadium where the sound is lost.

Aye.  Add 8k to the deafening din vs Derby and you're rocking the City of Nottingham.

38k is about right for the move to the 'Premier'.
