Hi guys, I work for the architects who have designed the new stand. We’ve been on the strictest lockdown hence I’ve not mentioned it before. I’ll need to check but I might be able to fill in some details if anyone has any questions.

Hi Red81, biggest question for me is have any pre-app discussions with the planners taken place regarding the massing in relation to the houses adjacent?

Looks great. Much needed and keeping our location whilst not compromising on the improvements is probably what the hold up has been????
The lease is sorted then.

As I said earlier on thread massive delays as they had to deal with two councils. Glad to see announcement on the back of good news rather than bad. Keeps the happy times rolling.

You can see now why so keen to get to premier league as which of course will help with the funding and long term stability for such a big project.

Ideal world was to get up this season (and see how we did) and then be ready to break ground in 2020.

Hey if we need an alternative ground while work is being done I reckon they could use Meadow Lane as they look in real trouble and could be out of business by then.

Sniding aside, it all looks great and looks like doing some other buildings next to the ground as saw block of either flats / hotel or offices. That would be a great way to recoup money or even move some of the offices we have no into that building.

Going to be great around that area around Trent bridge with all the exciting plans and the best thing is forest will remain on the banks of the Trent

Whilst great news I have immediate short term selfish question in terms of how this affects me as a season ticket holder. By my calculations if the whole of the main stand is to close whilst the season is on then there isn’t enough capacity around the ground, allowing for the present number of season card holders and the away allocation to temporarily rehouse me?

I’m sure / hope there is a very simple and obvious solution that can be communicated to allay those concerns.

I do love the club having a slight dig at Derby and Lesta by calling it the largest stadium in the East Midlands.

It's a shame we couldn't de-camp to Meadow Lane. That'd be my preference if it means that the construction period could be done over a single season rather than a couple.

Just 2 problems with that idea though. Meadow lane only holds 20k and Notts may not be in business soon!

Maybe we should buy the club, chuck up a cheapie extension and give it to the ladies team when we've moved back.

You know what the best thing for me is that it actually looks like a stadium. Not a bowl or these new weird designs, an actual stadium built to watch sport.

i hope that the improvements to the other stands (ie Brian Clough) will mean that you can go to the loo/get a beer or pie at half time, as at present it is carnage. Need to make sure the rest of the ground isn't miles behind the new PT stand.
It does look amazing, so excited. Hopefully MON/RK still in charge when complete.

Definitely this. The whole process of going loo and grabbing a beer in Upper Clough at half time is a nightmare.

"Throughout the build process, it will be imperative to make sure the City Ground is open for football activities, but also to ensure as many fans as possible can attend games, with an inevitable drop in capacity during construction.

"The practicalities of how this will work need to be determined in the coming months, but one option available would be to put the bottom tier in first and potentially open it on matchdays.

I wonder how it will work if we have another large increase in season tickets next year in the hope of priority the next season?

Hopefully loyalty and customer history will be rewarded with priority. 15 years a main stand ticket holder!!!!
