Two key officials on Sunday carried an emotional allegiance to a club one point behind Forest in a fight worth 100 million plus. One of those officials may even share a season ticket with his brother:
Their club's fight has been against all odds, drawing the support of neutrals and taking on epic, historic dimensions.
Now consider all of these heightened emotions being casually thrown at a game of Sunday's relevance to those emotions by a senior official acting in full awareness of the implications.
What kind of intent explains this?
why would the official be biased against us and in favour of Everton when they were only one point above us and Luton still had them to play. you could argue by everton losing it put it in Luton’s own hands to get above them. Neutrals aren’t supporting us they are laughing at us.

Some people are saying we're becoming a laughing stock but they won't be saying that when the EPL, Masters and the PGMOL at some point will be proved to be a lying bunch of bastards. Then you have some say what we're doing is destroying the legacy of the Premier league but what I can see is the people in charge of the league is doing a good job of that already especially over the FFP and VAR.
I take my hat off to the big man he definitely got some balls and won't roll over to have his nuts tickled by the PL like a lot of other teams.

The PGMOL isn’t corrupt. It is incompetent and the standard of officiating has declined. VAR hasn’t helped. It has taken away the referee’s responsibility for making a decision. They pass the buck to VAR who also abdicate responsibility by taking no action unless the referee has made an absolute howler. On sunday all three of those incidents should have been pens but they were not worst decisions i have seen this season going against us and other teams. Wolves have had as many poor decisions go against them as we have. We are right to complain on the grounds of incompetence but not corruption without real evidence. This will not do us any favours and make staying up even harder. It is becoming another self inflicted distraction
How do you know ?? No one thought Anderlecht were cheats but years later it came out they were bribing the ref £27000
How do you know it is corrupt and ask yourself what is the more likely.

I didn't realise you spoke for all neutrals.
Still, I have to think you know what you're talking about regarding corruption, given your username has the word Tory in it.

How do you know they're not. You brought up the assumption they're not without any evidence and all I'm saying is how do you know

Nottingham Forest will be sent audio of VAR from Everton defeat and one of the three penalty incidents likely to feature in Refs Mic’d Up programme next week, including conversations between Anthony Taylor and Stuart Atwell.
cheers SR
Though only one might be cherry picked for the programme?! Hmmm
Anyway, something I’ve never heard of but one now to listen to
I hope it’s a smoking gun and Forest put it out in the public domain (interesting to know if there’s a NDA condition with it).
I can see the AI editors working on it now as we speak lol

Atwell didn't review the 3rd Penalty Shout which was as stonewall as stonewall can be.
That is a disgrace tbh.

From the Mail article today:
"Forest were furious at being denied three penalties in the defeat at Goodison Park, particularly the third incident in which Taylor appeared to miss a foul by Ashley Young on Callum Hudson-Odoi which Attwell chose not to review.
PGMOL declined to comment."
This is where for me the line between incompetence and bias/corruption - call it whatever you want - starts to get blurred.
What is Attwell's justification for not even reviewing that incident? Isn't that the whole point of VAR? If he reviews it and says no penalty then that's one thing (though I still think it'd have been the wrong decision). But to not review it at all.....why?

Howard Webb is trying to have a laugh. In the latest round of referee apointments David Coote (from Nottinghamshire) is to ref the Wolves v Luton game.

Because the starting point, from a point of law, isn't that someone is corrupt.

Surely this reinforces the point of how incompetent they are.

With respect, this does not attempt to answer to the question that was posed.
