EM is experienced at dealing with this sort of thing because it has been going on in Greece for years.

It has now reached the stage where the big games in the Greek league which is games involving Olympiakos, PAOK, Panathinaikos, AEK and Aris are actually refereed by foreign referees.

EM is a big name in Greece with some significant political and media clout. Unfortunately here he is just another rich owner and one who at times is looking increasingly petulant. Besides Olympiacos are the Man City of Greece that every other club there complains about having too much power and influence.

Yes I know that SM but I just wanted to inform our readers that in Greece they use foreign referees.

Truth is referees have always favoured the bigger clubs. One of the appeals of VAR was that it might counter balance this bias but it hasn’t. There is an argument to say it has made it worse but it isn’t corruption or conspiracy against us have we alleged. To be honest the accusation is pathetic and an act of desperation

Whilst I agree the accusation of conspiracy is wrong you can’t deny it has caused a reaction and gained attention in a way that “write to PGMOL” ( Gary Neville you are a prick) could never have done.
How this plays out and how much harm it will do us remains to be seen.

I've got my popcorn out as this will only get more exciting I think.

Some people are saying we're becoming a laughing stock but they won't be saying that when the EPL, Masters and the PGMOL at some point will be proved to be a lying bunch of bastards. Then you have some say what we're doing is destroying the legacy of the Premier league but what I can see is the people in charge of the league is doing a good job of that already especially over the FFP and VAR.

I take my hat off to the big man he definitely got some balls and won't roll over to have his nuts tickled by the PL like a lot of other teams.

Fans of other clubs are loving the fact someone is finally standing up to the establishment. At first it felt embarrassing with the statement but the more comes out, the more I think we are doing the right thing. It may not end well but something needs to change.

The PGMOL isn’t corrupt. It is incompetent and the standard of officiating has declined. VAR hasn’t helped. It has taken away the referee’s responsibility for making a decision. They pass the buck to VAR who also abdicate responsibility by taking no action unless the referee has made an absolute howler. On sunday all three of those incidents should have been pens but they were not worst decisions i have seen this season going against us and other teams. Wolves have had as many poor decisions go against them as we have. We are right to complain on the grounds of incompetence but not corruption without real evidence. This will not do us any favours and make staying up even harder. It is becoming another self inflicted distraction

Two key officials on Sunday carried an emotional allegiance to a club one point behind Forest in a fight worth 100 million plus. One of those officials may even share a season ticket with his brother:

Their club's fight has been against all odds, drawing the support of neutrals and taking on epic, historic dimensions.

Now consider all of these heightened emotions being casually thrown at a game of Sunday's relevance to those emotions by a senior official acting in full awareness of the implications.

Both cup semi-finals and our game.

"There are statements dropping like confetti from all sorts of parties over the past day after a very important game and a very important three points at the bottom of the league. If you want to isolate the three penalties I’d have to say they have a strong case for all three: the first guy has been clipped, the second one sees Ashley Young clearly move his hand towards the ball and the third one he’s tackled from behind. If you’re looking at it from a football perspective there is a strong case that all three should have been given.

What can happen now though? They aren’t going to get points back and the game isn’t going to be replayed – they are just going to upset people. There must be better avenues to take with the FA and PGMOL.

I don’t know why Stuart Attwell didn’t tell Anthony Taylor to go and look at the screen, particularly for the third one where Taylor clearly signals that Young got the ball. The referee on the pitch only has a split-second but the VAR can see numerous angles and slow-mos. There seems to have been some misunderstanding with the officials and it shouldn’t happen at this crucial stage, or any stage, of the season.

It feels like Forest maybe feel like they’ve gone down the proper routes before and nothing has happened so they’ve come to his head-on car crash or whatever this weekend and felt like they can’t take anymore or accept this. Marinakis is a volatile character and he’s gone nuclear."
