Ultimately if we hadn’t made such a dogs arse of the season on the pitch we would all be laughing and congratulating EM. He knew what he was doing, we were always at a competitive disadvantage so did everything possible to ensure we were competitive in the PL, if that meant bending the rules so be it.
That combined with further investment over the summer should have made us comfortably mid table and a 4 point deduction of little to no consequence. No I don’t want to hear about referees and AFCON. As MR says we have 9 games for our under achieving squad to put things right. i hope they have the spine to do it.

The other side of this is we made huge mistakes in recruitment. Hwang, bowler, Richards, Scarpa, Shelvey, obrien, Dennis, lingard. That has been our major issue here.

Initial deduction 8 points with 4 points reduced because of early plea and cooperation.

All 6 mitigation pleas were dismissed.

We could have saved a bit more money and not hired DeMarco from all the good he did us.

No it was 6 with 2 reduced. 

They came down from 8 to 6 before mitigations which you could attribute to DeMarco.

I think you are being generous to Di Marco to be honest.

To be fair to the commission that have come down half way of what the league wanted. Masters is a glove puppet to the protected 6-10 clubs that want a closed shop.

It's all over the report that Atletico Madrid bid 50 mil Euros in June for Jonno and we rejected it.


Playing the absolute victims if that's true we need to move on and keep this trend of whining about refs and the prem away from the pitch.

We did fail by 35m, think we got off lightly tbh.

Do you think that's a bad decision? I think it's pretty sensible to me. We should be able to finish 4 points ahead of Luton, Burnley and Sheff Utd plus Everton -10 odd.

Wood, Shelvey, danillo - would we have stayed up without them?

Much depends on Everton too. If they don’t get at least 3 more points and more likely 4-6 then we’ve been done. They have delayed the process from last year into this year- not the prem fault. They have not complied for a second time. I wonder how big their second failure is? They continued to spend this year above the permitted losses whilst under the charge of the previous season. I have some sympathy in that they in theory will be punished twice for two years of the same period with no precedent until this year. Man City and Chelsea charges stink.
