SR, whilst I agree about that publication, I am almost certain I have read that the minimum points deduction is 6 points? This has been my understanding for a while now. However there may be alternative measures OTHER than a points deduction.

Not sure where you have got that from but I don’t think it’s true mate. My error - I meant that if it were to be a points deduction, then the minimum is 6 points. Like I said, I may be wrong

It’s what Everton are appealing against - arbitrary penalty seemingly made up for them. I have a feeling that as we did sell and recoup losses quickly and we show financial prudence going forward then we may get some of our deduction suspended for strict compliance on future returns. We obviously need to sell to recruit from here on in.

Suspended points penalty and substantial fine me thinks!

The rules are not there to trip clubs up, but to show financial sustainability. By selling BJ and getting the best deal we have done exactly what the rules were set up to do. Be surprised if De Marco doesn’t put forward a water tight case, that stops us getting a points penalty

Profit and SUSTAINABILITY and the clue is there, Forest working to sustainability which are the EPL guidelines. How can they then punish a club for following their own rules? OK we may have breached them but followed said guidelines. A slap on the wrist with suspended points deduction and fine any worse punishment would open up a can of worms. I think Forest know this so hence the low key statement unlike Everton who have broken a multitude of rules and have bleated to the world as totally unjustified.
