That’s another Martin Samuels FFP rant and he is speculating Forest and Everton get punished,
He is correct in what he says why punish when they are changing the rules.

Is that what you are saying?

Yes mate, absolutely.

What a strange comment.

Why would anyone want to attack an owner who has committed nigh on half a billion pounds into the football club?

What a strange world we live in.

I didn’t expect any different response, and take it whichever way you want to turn it.

However we’ve spent 23 years trying to get back to the top flight and if those actions were to relegate us after the cost investment in getting us there then it would rank as the most stupid ownership decision in living history.

A bit much hyperbole and inflammatory language used in some comments in my opinion. Criticising and at least questioning some of the owners decisions is fair enough should it come to it. “Attacks” protests etc are definitely not OK.

Can I pick you up on this bit User?
Flip the argument. Had our owner decided to spend very little and recoup some of his investment last season and we had been relegated would that have been the stupidest ownership decision in living history  instead? Plenty clubs have done that.
Fulham notably spent over £100m and got themselves relegated a few seasons ago. Was that stupid too?

Which bits were hyperbole or inflammatory?

Particularly bearing in mind that I was speculating on a hypothetical situation that quite possibly never materialise?

To address your question, then my answer would be No it wouldn’t, it would hopefully have been done with a view to rebalancing the financial position of the Club whilst gaining a position of strength.

From what I’m reading, it would make the sudden sale of mangala out of nowhere in new light…

We all had our transfer list coming up to jan and Orel wasn’t on anybody’s, all of a sudden 2nd place in Seria A and 7th place (and last years winners) want him.

I do find you a little over zealous sniffer when it comes to your defence of Marinakis. If we do indeed face a point deduction,  his actions are worthy of vitriol/criticism/S**t throwing.

Say it to his face then, he will be there at the next home match.

I like good healthy debate on this forum both positive and negative.

I don't like vitriol and S**t throwing.

If someone wants to spew vitriol or throw S**t then do it to EM directly if you have the balls.

Don't take the keyboard warrior cowards way out by using this forum.

I would happily do so if we have a point deduction, but sit in upper Brian Clough.

Punishment won't be decided tomorrow. Any announcements tomorrow will be around whether we've been charged or not.

The press are always briefed of things like this, how do you think as soon as the news drops multiple articles suddenly appear within minutes.
