Good that seemingly all is in hand and nothing to be concerned about with these stories. There is the argument perhaps however that this has come to something already. The story may or may not be true but the fact is the stories are out there and therefore tarnishing the clubs reputation and making the club look bad. I think we all hoped we had moved on from situations like this when Fawaz left.

But the point we're making is it shouldn't have been anything in the first place, surely that's fair?

Also as for being an "EM basher" I've always made my position clear and again I think I've been fair, EM is generous with his money which is great but it's also been put in the wrong hands/places at times throughout his ownership and a hell of a lot of it has been wasted. I also think that sometimes his ambition, while great in some aspects, is his biggest weakness in others and that either he or the people who advise him struggle to see a long term picture, it's all instant gratification, there's talks that he admires and wants Forest to be the way Brighton are but that will require a hell of a lot of patience and he isn't known for that is he? I've never not praised him when I think he's got something right but when I think he's not doing as well as he can/should be I'll criticise it too and if we aren't paying debts on time (even if they'll get paid eventually) it deserves criticism in my opinion.

Sniffer, I think you are being harsh in saying that some want him to fail I don believe that is the case. I also believe that the overwhelming majority of Forest fans are very happy with his ownership its just that we always seem to return to issues in the background like this particular story or non-story dependent on your point of view. Long term stability at our club is what most fans want along with on the field success and good football to watch, we are well on the way with this project since EM took over I just hope that we can get the other parts of the jig-saw in place.

I'm sure some do. I'm definitely not one of them.

For me, as I said before, it's about the club's reputation. I want us to be spot on with everything. I want a sponsor sorted every season. I don't want Forest in the press for anything bad. I want the club to be a model of professionalism. Hopefully we'll get there. Goodness knows what mess had to be cleared up after the Fawaz years but they can't be used as an excuse forever.

In short, I want us to be magic, on and off the pitch.
