It may be all about results for some people but others want to see more. The most alarming thing for me is that players have regressed under him, they've forgotten how to play with pace and penetration; it's all walking pace, sideways passes or a massive hoof to absolutely nobody. We're playing pedestrian football in a league than now demands frenetic energy from start to finish, we're being left behind at an alarming rate and with each week/game that passes it becomes harder to claw it back, not just the points but getting the football right to ensure we can compete with the teams who know how to do it properly in this division. That's why I don't think adding 4/5 more players will change as much as some seem to believe it will, it might delay the inevitable but it'll come at some point this season, just hope it isn't too late when it does.
Who has regressed?
The football is not great but this is pretty much the football we've played since AK left.
AK was the last manager who signed a forward of any note; do you think there may be a connection between not having a centre forward and not being able to play attacking football?
Lets hope the penny drops in the next 80 hours

Murray was a temporary signing (as you well know. And it followed on from the January before under Sabri when Forest couldn't sign a decent forward to solidify their play off hopes.)
At least Murray's brace got 3 of the 8 points that kept Forest clear of the drop.

You might not care. But many Forest fans do care about not chopping and changing managers as it's got us nowhere over the last 24 years and much of the money that could have been spent on a LB and a striker was spent seeing off managers from top 7 positions.
Most of the football has been negative in that time.
I'd rather judge a man when he's got his own squad in and we see how things are going after half a year...before I reach for the Lynch rope.
We're due more quality players in. A striker. A 'top 6 ball playing CM' because we don't have it.
Haven't you spotted the causal link between the 'negative football' (and recruitment) played here under MoN, Sabri and Hughton? The last time we bought a striker was when Aitor was here.
That was ages ago.
Hughton's team passed the balls and character test today. We got back into it. Hughton played some youth and got a result. He had as many attackers on the pitch today as any recent Forest manager. Lawrence was Derby's best (and only) player 1st half. Very lucky that we didn't have a 'prime' LB there for the 5th match running. He disappeared after he peaked. I think Derby are going to struggle. Forest can and will get better. We're clearly after more quality signings.
I suspect we're saving the 'big money' for the perm' signings?

He's absolutely got to go.
We were dire again. We just about deserved a point today, through nothing but sheer effort in the second half. There was not genuinely quality or progression to our play. It was outright effort to desperately scrape something out of it.
In football, work, life; the process is more important than the result. Because if you get the process right, the result eventually will take care of itself anyway.
The way we have approached football managers under Chris Hughton for over 50 games now, is totally abject. There's no regard for any process. It's defend at all costs, cover for what our players can't do, and then literally just leave it for a talented player to have a moment to score a goal. It's dire.
We keep chucking long throws into the box against giant centre-halves, putting crosses and free-kick into the mixer. Where's the thought? The planning? Thinking laterally and coming up with new ideas? There's none of it. Zero adaptability.
It's just not sustainable to keep giving managers what they want. It costs a shed load of money each time you do it, you get left with horrendous contracts and the results haven't justified doing it for years now. If we let Hughton have who he wants, we'd have Knockaert, Christie, Gosling, probably convince Glenn Murray out of retirement and it'd not only cost us loads, they'd contrive to produce nothing.
He's done. Hughton Out. Not tomorrow. Today. Else we're going to get relegated this season.

Agree on your last point.
Negative manager? I sure the Brighton and Newcastle fans were quite happy with him when his teams scored sack fulls of goals on the way to promotion. Suggests that any style of football is down to the choice selecting good players. And Forest are still short of the players that will allow Hughton to put teams to the sword and play 'that way.'
So.
How about we SEE where it gets us?
It might take a bit of patience. I'm happy to go through the pain barrier.
I didn't find Brennan's goal boring at all. I thought the lads did well 2nd half. It was slightly agricultural at times. It's a local derby.
With a bit more quality, Forest go on to win that. I'm looking forward to the transfer deadline...and a couple (or 3!) quality signings.

47 league games. We've scored more than once on just 7 (seven!!!) occasions.
I think 4/5 of those are against relegated sides too.
