So if someone is 16 and purchased their first ever season ticket they are less of a fan?

Not so much less of a fan, just think it'd be a nice show of thanks for the loyalty over the years.

Sorry, but if you've spent 50 years supporting the club and putting thousands upon thousands of pounds into it, you're further in front of the queue than a 16 y/o with his first ST IMO.

I’ve also spent tens of thousands of pounds over many years, following Forest, that doesn’t give me any more right than anyone else. In fact I’ve been fortunate to witness better times than said 16 year old. 

The two lads who sat next to me were in their teens and went to every game pre lockdown home and away. It was their second season as a season ticket holder. They shouldn’t be treated lesser due to their age. 

With that argument I could say if you’re over 50 you shouldn’t be allowed in because you’ve less to offer the club financially over your remaining life span compared to someone thirty years your junior.

Like I say, I don't see it as downgrading other fans, I see it as celebrating long standing fans.

You can't do one without doing the other I'm afraid, it just doesn't work like that.

I renewed my season ticket and left my cash in the club, therefore in my opinion if there's any chance of getting tickets I ought to qualify for one. I saw it as a gamble and paid my money for the priviledge of doing so, however that to me still seems harsh as lots of people aren't in the same position to just squander that cash when they've got bills to pay and mouths to feed.

Should the PL and EFL etc allow some grounds to have fans but others not. There are at least 10 championship teams in Tier 3.

Any extra money into the game is surely a good thing. I dont see it making much impact with 2000 fans.

Maybe of it was full capacity it would be a harder debate

I do think it is unfair for some clubs to play at home with some fans there and others arent allowed any at all, and it has been said that these measures could be in place until spring!!

I feel a political rant building up here.............i can't phathom out why London, with 10-11 million people is in tier 2 and Lincolnshire with about 1 million people and 3 times as many cows and sheep is in tier 3? Isn't the Nottingham/Nottinghamshire infection rate falling as well?

Yes, I get that! It just feels like the Government are looking after themselves down South and are sticking two fingers up to the North again. But it is a valid point you have made TPL  :shy:

Purely on the political front Tricky, I think the government are keen to make the north happy, 'levelling up' to support the blue wall and all that. London was already Labour, but with Brexit as well London is out of reach for the Conservatives for some time. Unless you mean they want to be able to go out for meals and socials when they're there :)

I'm thinking more on the lines of the economy Stirred TBH. All tier 3 venues cannot open unless selling takeaway food, so a lot of pubs and bars up north have to remain closed, but they can open until 11 down south. Most hospitality businesses are going to go bust in the North, whereas a lot can be saved down south................I could go on, but! this is a football forum and I really dont want to get dragged back into political arguments on here again. We had that back in the summer and it wasn't pretty  :D . So 4,000 fans to be allowed into stadiums on the isle of Man and the Outer Hebrides............ come on the Shetties!!!
