A maximum of 4,000 fans are to be allowed at outdoor events in the lowest-risk areas when the national lockdown in England ends on 2 December, BBC Sport understands.
Prime Minister Boris Johnson is expected to make an announcement on the return of crowds later on Monday.
He will make a statement to the House of Commons, which MPs will vote on.
There will be no crowds allowed in the highest-risk areas under the new Covid-19 restrictions in England.
Elite sports has continued behind closed doors during England's four-week lockdown, while grassroots and amateur sport has been halted since 5 November.

Good news - I think.
But not if it results in any increase in the number of cases.
I’m as avid a fan as anyone that I know - but I won’t be attending any games until I’ve been given a vaccine.
Hopefully that could be within the next 3 months.

Only tier 1 and 2, so might be a wait for us. I wonder if it'll be just home fans only

It will be interesting how they decide which 4,000 out of 20,000 season card holders will be allowed to attend and if the attendees are rotated to be fair to all SC holders

Less than 20k Tricky. Those that opted for option 2 effectively opted out of any ticket ballot.

I think it'd be tough to organise in practice and a bit unfair on some, but part of me would like to see the allocation go to the longest serving ST holders as a gesture of thanks for their loyalty.

Great idea Alf - though it adds another level of complexity.
And would include a good percentage of ‘senior’ supporters - who have been asked to isolate wherever possible.

Only until 3rd December TPL, then it's every man for himself again by all acounts!

As a ‘senior’ Alf the date is immaterial.
The issue is still safety.

So if someone is 16 and purchased their first ever season ticket they are less of a fan?
