There wasn’t conspiracy then to get us back into the premier league and there isn’t one now to take us down. There are a lot of rubbish officials. Other teams like Wolves have probably been the victim of worst howlers than us this season(24-04-2024, 12:11 PM)ToryTom Wrote:(24-04-2024, 11:39 AM)Sausage Roll Wrote: Someone on Twitter made a list of seventeen incorrect decisions we'd been on the wrong end of this season. That works out at one every two matches (though the spread is different of course). I have had lots of positive things to say about Forest over the 50+ years i have supported them. It is when i hear is being associated with some moronic conspiracy theories I feel inclined to say well we don’t all agree with such nonsense. So is nobody willing to accept that then ^^ Nobody even man enough to admit it that along with our owner, 2 managers and players that the refs and VAR will have played a roll if we end up gong down. Come on, I have admitted that our owner would be partly responsible. RE: VAR & Crap Referees - Salvatore Matrecano - 24-04-2024 Yes I will accept Refs and VAR are partly responsible. But its incompetence not conspiracy. Its cost us some points for sure, think Bournemouth for example likely cost us all 3, But I don’t think it has cost us as many points as some are making out. We have had some terrible decisions but some have gone our way too. For example I believe we have faced 10 men in 6 games but only gone on to win one of them. Its a mess of our own creation. If a handful of the most egregious refereeing errors hadn't been made we'd have left behind concerns about relegation by now. This is true, it's being made out like we'd have won these games that we got bad decisions in. No guarantee we score any of these penalties or beat Bournemouth if Boly stays on. It has probably cost us a few points for sure but it's difficult to quantify without being able to compare to other teams. RE: VAR & Crap Referees - JollyLolly - 24-04-2024 It's Wednesday afternoon, why is there still NO comments by either the club or Howard Webb regards the released audio, some reports are saying that none exists for the 3rd penalty appeal? All very strange this. RE: VAR & Crap Referees - Redgirl - 24-04-2024 even if it is only a few points, those few points could keep us up. Im as frustrated by the team as anyone but without the points deduction and points lost through bad decisions by officials we would probably be safe by now in i mid table position. Not taking away from our dreadful form, its just at the moment every point counts for so much. RE: VAR & Crap Referees - Salvatore Matrecano - 24-04-2024 I see Pep is making the argument to his advantage in advance of Sunday He “never had any doubts” as to the integrity of referees and “do their job as best as possible”. I haven’t got the direct quotes but Im pretty sure Pep has come out with some damning comments of his own about refs through the years. But this will be the narrative, ManCity love referees who have a difficult job, its just evil whinging Forest who are complaining. We have been discussing unconscious bias, thats the thought Simon Hooper will have when he goes onto the pitch on Sunday. I don't suppose he mentioned those 115 charges that are hanging over them did he SM RE: VAR & Crap Referees - Salvatore Matrecano - 24-04-2024 Nope he didn’t. Don’t get me wrong I think the whole system regarding that stinks and is loaded to protect the big boys. Don’t get me wrong I think the whole system regarding that stinks and is loaded to protect the big boys. It has been that way a long time. Managers like Warnock complained about premier league and refereeing bias for the big clubs, a long time ago. Remember Tevez and Mascherano playing for Wham and them not being signed correctly under the rules and the premier league fined them rather than took points off them. sheffield united went down because of that. That wasn’t fair then. It’s not new but i think VAR is doing the opposite of what it is supposed too. Refs don’t make decision against the big clubs knowing that VAR will have to take a look and share the responsibility but VAR are absolving responsibility by only alerting the ref if it is a clanger of the most extreme proportions, subverting the whole purpose of it which is to make the largest number of correct key decisions as possible. VAR is reinforcing the advantage the big sides already had. There is a lot wrong with the premier league and pgmol but it is not a case of the latter conspiring to get certain teams relegated. |
