No.
This forum is about sharing & debating views on our beloved club.
And that is exactly what is happening.
Agreed, I dont think it has been over the top either for the most part. Fair criticisms and defence on both sides in most cases.
I like the new name.of this thread, sadly I fear it'll get used a lot! Can we have a positive thread too? Imagine it'll be quieter...

How ever you feel about Daniel Taylor, what he said or his intentions, right, wrong, made up or true, it was a massive thing for him to him actually do, as a major reporter doing what he did he was actually putting the club on notice, and putting them on his blacklist and of course knowing that it may hurt his reputation and tarnish his relationship with the Forest fan base!
I just worry now that, a major news agency like The Athletic, will be pushed out, meaning less access for Paul Taylor. He will feel like Billy Davies was back if that was the case lol.

Interesting comments from Tom Cartledge - CEO of Benoy.
He was asked regarding the comments made by Dan Taylor - there is no way this is a smokescreen by the owners.
....we continue to work on the planning application, with every big project there are twists and turns. Covid slowed everything up but since the end of the summer we are working to achieve planning by the end of the season. Let’s hope we are all back in the CG before then #coyr

Ahem, what else would you expect him to say?
Remember have to be positive and not everything can be said in the open
Questions should be asked why is everything taking so long, why wait till end of season, isn’t this the perfect time to get planning approved so work can begin whilst fans not in stadium?
Poor planning and preparation imo and if does get agreed next summer then when fans are allowed back we will have a massive reduced capacity.

From my earlier comments you’d expect me to say this - but Cartledge probably ran those comments past Vrentzos first.

Oh for god's sake grow up will you lot. Benoy's are an internationally renowed Architectural practice. If they say they're on the case then how about we just believe them?

I think what we can all agree is that the clubs communication could be far better.
I applaud Daniel Taylor for getting issues like this in the open, I'm sure few complained when Fawaz was the target.
I'm of the opinion the club is being run far better than it was under Fawaz and I certainly don't want the owner tweeting and bickering with fans as he did.
I also don't want the owner berating the players via zoom - surely this is the managers job if necessary.
My opinion of the ownership has definitely shifted, you can be as ruthless as you like with managers but if you lose the fanbase you're quickly headed for a Newcastle scenario.
I hope the club take this on board and step up communications with fans.

"My take on Chris Hughton situation at #NFFC is probably a bit different to most of the others. I hope he is allowed to manage, first and foremost. And I hope he doesn't encounter the issues that Lamouchi, O'Neill and, in particular, Karanka had to deal with."
"When a bloke like MON is leaving out his goalkeeper on club's wishes, it sums everything up. Pantilimon doesn't want to leave and then gets insulting bomb-squad treatment. Not even allowed to play in Vincent Kompany's testimonial. This is modern NFFC. Ask Ribeiro, for one"
and when asked if Vrentzos was the problem he replied:
"Who else is there? Marinakis is in Greece and Oly is his baby. So much so we get their castoffs and they come after our first-team players, destabilising the entire team and dressing room. Forest, at the City Ground, is a one-man operation. Nobody else."
I don't know if Taylor gets to see all our games but IMO Pantillimon wasn't good enough even for the bomb squad.
And Ribeiro, Silva, maybe even Figs must've asked for pay rises or something, to invoke the Vrentzos wrath of fury.
Some things don't add up do they? I mean if Silva for example has felt the wrath of Vrentzos fury then why would he move to Olympiakos where yes you have guessed it Vrentzos is the CEO! So many gaps in some of these allegations...

There are gaps for sure although I think a bit of no smoke without fire.
The Pants scenario is another one, I heard a different version, he wasnt bombed out but pissed that at the start of last season Muric ( remember him??) was picked ahead of him. Maybe BS but heard he arrived at the academy on matchday, saw the team sheet and promptly drove off. Jordan Smith was unexpectedly on the bench that game.
It will be quite telling I think if we have indeed seen the last of Figs and Ribeiro or if they never have been ousted and are included next week.

Figi has asked to leave...... and for family reasons. Has a Mrs and young kid in Portugal and with the current COVID situ can’t be helping matters. I think folk are getting carried away that Fug is now in the bomb squad !
His performance levels also dropped off sharply, so there is no point in having a player who wants away when you are trying to build something.
