Ajax away, 23rd April, 1980. My first ever away European match experience. Unforgetable trip with my dad.
I remember swapping scarves with an Ajax fan after the match and I had that Ajax scarf on my bedroom wall for years afterwards.

Fantastic night, they threw absolutely everything at us but Shilton was immense!

I also went to Amsrerdam, it was a superb trip, a game game of football in a fantastic atmosphere and I really enjoyed the cities attractions.

I won't say anymore in case the mrs. is reading!

Ian Bowyer heads into the net to give Forest a 1-0 lead in Colonge Germany, the goal was enough to send Forest through to the European Cup Final following a first leg score of 3-3 at the City Ground.

Without doubt, one of the most important goals in the clubs history.
