He's already been given more time than most would have expected and wanted apparently so at this point I would say it doesnt matter of they now sack him in that regard. They've proven willing to stick it out a little!

I honestly feel a bit sorry for our owners.

They have huge ambitions for our football club but we have to get out of The Chamionship and into The PL to release those ambitions. Getting out of The Championship is proving a tough nut to crack and I think it's fair to say that our owners underestimated just our difficult a task that is.

They are used to working at the top end of Football, Champons League etc and they are certainly not used to scratching around trying to get out of the second division. It's totally alien to them and sometimes unfortunately it shows.

I have no doubt whatsoever that once we get into The PL (if) then this football club will go from strength to strength. It is so frustrating what is happening now not only for us the fans but for our owners too.

I think in all fairness, Brentford has no history to speak of, therefore, their fans do not have the expectations Forest fans have.

Us older fans were spoilt by not only watching and living the dream of winning the First Division, then the European successes afterwards. We didn't expect our club to do all of that. We would've been happy to just stay in Division One and not get relegated. But it happened and some of us were there to be a part of it. But our younger fans, quite understandably want to be a part of something similar again. This has greatly increased our fans expectations and therefore cannot and will not accept anything other than top class performances.

The supporters of our club are not wrong in wanting what we have had before, but I do think they forget the fact that what happened over 40 years ago, was always going to be a one off. There was only ever one Brian Clough and Peter Taylor. There will never be the same again!

I think it is fair to say that most, if not all of our owners since the club was sold to private investors, have all wanted the same thing, without ever stopping to realise that what happened in the late 70's was down to the genius and philosophies of two great men and not by pouring good money after bad.

Whilst I still ‘kick every ball’ I find that I want success not for me but for my son.

We’ve been in the second division for 21 years now, and truth be told we haven’t really been a top tier team for 25 years. Obviously there isn’t a magic formula otherwise someone would have tried it by now.

As the years go by the task becomes harder and harder, because now we’re increasingly one of the smaller clubs in the top two tiers, and it’s a real struggle to complete with the clubs with the money.

The only fault i can put on the owners door step was the Jan transfer window when they didn't get it right and got the wrong players who didn't add to the team to drive us over the line. Other than that they have been really good and we have been better for them.

I am sure that Sabri said he was happy with his squad and he was very mindful about players coming in and upsetting the changing room etc etc. He said that, I remember it very clearly he didn't really want to sign any players. He was very happy with what he had and he was very happy with the spirit in the dressing rooom.

Not long after that Covid came along and after the restart we were found wanting. Our owners fault? Not in my view.

True i'm not laying it all on one person i tend to use the word owners but really i do mean the club and various people within the club for which the blame is shared. But again that is my only down point on what has been a good few years now of getting us back on our feet.
