Based purely on the last couple of games Yates deserves to keep his place. I like Colback alot and expect him to be a crucial cog in the promotion machine.
To be honest Taylor, Worrall, samba, Freeman and Taylor were the only other players aside from Yates who could have any reason to feel aggrieved at being dropped. The rest had a real off day. Also, I thought Grabbs chance was easiest of game.

Forest midfielder Ryan Yates has made the second most tackles in the Championship so far this season - 10.

I don't think he is a scapegoat, a term for the snowflake generation if ever there was one.
It is ok to criticise any player, whether they came from our academy or a record signing. It's part of the game and existed long before the internet. To be honest anyone who puts any credence in what is posted on Twitter or Facebook needs to give their head a wobble, its not representative of anything.
I provided some stats to illustrate our performance with him in and out of the team. The same can be done for any player but this is a thread about Ryan Yates.
I think he can improve and will. The same could have been said about Ben Brereton.
Ridiculous. So Lamouchi's opinion doesn't count then? Yea right, OK. And anyway, I'm talking about all his managers. Loan managers at Notts, Scunny etc etc. Everyone who's had him has ended up raving about him.
And if you're true to your stats based assessment of his value to the side, he'll never improve because he would never be given the opportunity to play. How many games are young lads allowed to play before your negative stats rule comes in and they are required to be dropped?
Certainly would have finished off Gareth Bales at Spurs. Was it something like the first 30 games he played for them without being on the winning side. Absolutely stupid stat

My guess- No Worrall, no Colback, no Grabban in first 11 tonight. Yates skipper - Twitter meltdown

I could actually see that happening too, TBH. Who else would make a prime candidate for captain if wozza, colbs and grabs are all out?

Would Sabri name a debutant to be captain though? Especially after they have only been here for three days?

Why not?
Both significantly more experienced than Yates,
And why pile additional pressure on the kid.
Any way it’s all academic - Colback will play.
