Rotherham and Bolton are fighting it out to sign him on loan

NFFC want Yates to play in the Sky Bet Champ elsewhere on loan after his recent progress. Fair play to you and County giving him a chance to flourish. Apparently about 9 L1 clubs keen but worth a go in the Cship and not sure 100% yet where will end up

Would be a great move for both Yates and Forest if he was playing regularly in the Championship. Hope this gets done.

Before our latest set of recruits I had hoped he’d be in and out of the first team but can’t see where he will get a game now. A move to another championship team is only going to improve his development (if they play him regularly)

its good ambition from the lad too if he wants to test himself in the championship.

walker dropping down to league 2 to Mansfield..does he really have a future here?

I would rather we sold Walker and Grant instead of loaning them out.

I have nothing against either of them but they are not 17-18 yeard olds.

I think we all know that they won't be breaking into our first team squad anymore.

The deal for Walker may be permanent yet I think, don't think it's been decided.

I agree with Grant though. At this stage in his career he isn't good enough for the Championship. We can't wait for him forever and it'd be better to sell now when his reputation is good.

be interesting to see where clough will end up. he came to us to get out of league 1 at the moment I could only see him heading back there.

thought Bolton might snap him back up but not even in their plans by sound of it

Walker's way too good for Mansfield, he could do much better than them. The standard in L2, from the limited games I've seen, is really rather poor. He's never going to be ready to play for us if he's learning his trade in L2. Yates has done it right, progression up the leagues, not down them.

Cant see Mansfield paying us about 500k-1mill for Walker mate.

Presume he's on a fair old whack now.  That's probably what he's struggling with. He's gone from his boyhood club who've treated him like one of the family, to being a 'star' £3.5m player, on a good wage, and away from home as an adult with responsibilities.

I'd like to keep him - thing he might come good if he can get his shit together.
