Or we could capitulate, and Sack Sabri.
Not sure what happened is comparable. We had 20 minutes to a) keep things level and B) ensure if we did concede we did not see a swing 6 goals.

It was pretty incredible what happened and it cannot be put down to bad luck.

How do you rebound from this?

Leeds won the away first leg of their play off semi last year and went a goal up at home in the 2nd leg. They basically had a cigar on in the tie. Then they threw away. Just like we did tonight. It was just as much as tragic and wasteful for them as what tonight has been for us.

The lack of gap between seasons will not help us
Bigger gap than getting stuffed in the play offs.

True, only by a week though! Just read the interview he sounds as gutted and shocked as the rest of us.

I still think we keep him. Considering the tools/ players he has to work with we have been performing above ourselves. He has made some very ordinary players look like championship players. For me the fault really does lie with whoever does the transfer targets.

9.30am here in Greece. I have just put the phone down (no joke).

Sabri Lamouchi is in very very deep water. Have been told to expect a change.

Hope it's a change to the transfer policy.

Nope. Expect a change of manager (rightly or wrongly).

I agree the recruitment hasn’t been good enough but SL tactics have to be questioned. His over reliance on defending as a unit has nullified us as an attacking threat. One of the poorest shots ratio’s in the league.
There have been times we have dominated teams for small periods of a game, for us to then score and sit back for the rest of the game. They are his tactics, they haven’t changed all season. He likes his players to run for 90 mins that’s why certain players don’t get a look in. I don’t think new players would change that approach.
3 wins in the last 16 games suggest we have been found out.

All good and well changing a manager but to who and will he be able to make the players any better? I doubt it as we don't have the players to make the difference when it really counts.

It’s not particularly surprising the last day went as it did, it really wasn’t that unlikely. I was prepared for it, but I’m not prepared to lose Sabri. Must we do this every year?

Good as he said himself last night he doesn’t know what went wrong!! That’s what he gets bloody paid for
We ve been very poor and overly negative since the re start
We had a chance to push on at 1-1 last night but oh no try and keep the ball, which we can t do

With Cash and Carvalho rumoured to be done deals wr need heavy investment in 1st team quality. Our squad proved to be no better than previously. Out of form, slightly injured and tired players forced to carry on playing.

Lyle Taylor and Jack Colback should just be the start.

If anyone thinks we dont need a new RB when Cash goes, then they have not been paying attention recently!

Some width too. Has to be competing with Lolley and Sami.

Still cannot believe it. I did not anticipate we would a) not get a point against a Stoke side who had nothing to play for and B) throw away a six goal cushion. It was criminal.

Have to blame the manager for that. Stoke posed little threat until we stopped playing after the equaliser. We allowed them to play and were punished. Manager has to take responsibility for what happened.

I don't know where we go from here. The reason why sides like Brentford have been successful is that they have stuck to a style of play for years and it has been good investment in young players from lower leagues. Leeds are successful in part because they stuck with their manager after last season.

Will Lamouchi adapt his tactics or will we throw everything out and start again. We have been in the playoffs pretty much all season and we were mixing it with the automatics until the last 5 games. That is progress from where we have been for the last 8 years or so.

He has done far more good than bad. But it is what it is. I expect him to be sacked
