I have to admit that I havent felt this enthusiastic about a manager since a certain Brian Howard Clough graced our corridors!

I like the guy...sounds he means it, but compared him to Clough !!!!? .. I think is a bit too far ... probably these same people were saying the same of Billy in January following the win v WBA in his first play off season....
Let's wait nd see how things turn up .... at least for two seasons...

No we can’t compare him to Cloughie - of course we can’t.
BUT
If he gets us promoted this season it would be every bit as big an achievement as BC getting us promoted from the second tier in his second season.

He’ll be in a stronger position to negotiate a new contract when he gets us promoted.

I really like the way you said when and not if. We shouldn't underestimate the importance of a positive mindset.

I never compared Sabri to Cloughie.
I said I haven't felt this enthusiastic about a manager since Cloughie. No comparison, just a feeling that something is on the verge of happening, same as it felt when Mr Clough first came to the City Ground. And yes! it did take time (and a re-acquaintance with his old Mate Peter Taylor).

Anyone have the time to check how many points we had this time last year? How better off are we?

I think after 34 games last season we had 50 points so currently 6 better off. Just averaging enough for a play off spot ...
Here we go.....

To be honest with the squad we have I think the manager has us in a position above ourselves. Now the test is to keep them performing above themselves until the end of the season. Promotion or not he deserves another season with us.

Things change very quickly. If we start next season poorly the he could be gone in a couple of months.
