My biggest wish for this season was that we end it with the same manager that we started with. I genuinely think if we can finish next season with him in charge too we will be in the premier league.

I agree with you two on this but for that to happen he needs sign an extension first.

That is very impressive.

I didn't realise that.

Now where is that contract extension again  :P

Sabri would be our best January signing if that happened.

No matter how this season ends, I just hope Sabri is happy to stay & given a new lengthy contract.

I absolutely love the guy & think he just got ‘it’ from day one.

I agree mate. Get him signed up ASAP.

Having maintained a stance previously of wait until January I think we should now be looking at offering Sabri new terms.

In my view I think we get the transfer window out of the way and aim to do it prior to the Leeds or West Brom game to provide that extra positivity going into a big fixture, it could create that additional bit of forward momentum in our favour at a crucial time.

And presumably the internal discussion next week will be about possible signings for the summer window. It follows that Sabri's employment will form part of that discussion.

That makes sense.

There are so many games in February that fatigue is going to kick in at some point unless the adrenaline of winning 5, 6, 7 on the bounce occurs, so that these kind of events / gestures can make a real difference.

Echoes my stance perfectly. I was adamant - pre Christmas - that talks of a new deal were premature.
Time now to act.

Never seen or heard Sabri like that before how he was after the final whistle at Birmingham.

He was absolutely fuming. I have the feeling that he really laid into the players in the dressing room. He was still a very angry man when he came out to talk to Chippers. No need for any conspiracy theories about him not being happy with transfers and stuff. It was clearly the performance that angered him.

Lets see if he gets a reaction from his players starting against Leeds on Saturday.

Anybody got a Link to this Interview?
I missed it.

He was seething. Asked a couple of times about the transfer window but kept referring back to the match and dodging the question...
First the points and then the pints….
