(if I had it of course)

Yes but it wouldn’t help with FFP

That is how I see it too BD.

Lets hope we are right.

So many loop holes to get around FFP though it seems.

Well nothing really came of the cash injection with regards to spending transfer fees, but sure it was just helping with the running costs.

Decent size fees were paid for Sow, Jenkinson, Samba and Chema?

I am fairly sure there would be tax implications if there was no return for your investment.

All undisclosed but imagine would’ve been covered by the outgoing transfer fees received this summer.

We are probably neutral on transfer fees but I suspect it is the wages of running a 40man squad that is the problem, fag packet maths thats £400K a week or £20M a year approx.
Even if we offload most of the bomb squad I guess we will have to largely pay up their existing contracts. I suspect we are still paying the wages of the last 2 managers and their staff as well.

We have to look at the bigger picture though widdow. What about last summer when we spent about 25m? Plus let's not forget the 6m to Fawaz. It's not just about this summer.

There were outgoings then as well, Brereton for one.

We have signed 20 players since January (not all have stayed) so the wage bill is what it is through our own transfer strategy.

Agreed Username regarding outgoings but I think since EM arrived we have spent more than we have received. We also need to remember that from the end of this season our capacity will be reduced by about one third for 2 seasons, that is a lot of income that is going to be lost.

Transfer fee spending has only just gone over what they have received

This is a ROUGH guide of the ins and outs over since the Greeks took over. Based on prices mentioned in Newspapers, as many are undisclosed.

Plenty of players on big contracts have left, and of course plenty of players arrived and left on frees and loans

Looks like around 42 players arrived and around 50 players have departed, but still a big squad left with the likes of Bridcutt, Clough, Murphy, Aryibi, Cummings due to be bombed out as well

Roughly spent £37m on transfer fees, and roughly received £34m so in the red by 3m– not bad on FFP for Transfer fees

Geddy?

Sure I’ve forgotten some players, and as mentioned prices are Best guesses, but clearly a lot of turnaround, and balanced the books.

It’s the wages of a bloated squad that is the worry, and perhaps why taking cash injections. It certainly wasn’t to fund new signings.

A nice fee for Geddy could even things up a little more.

One or two things to remeber though.

1. Loans are not free, there have been some hefty loan fees involved.

2. Cash injections don't have to be spent straight away, it will be there in January if we want to use it.
