I don't know if any of the Olympiacos fans read the site but hats off to them they were just outstanding and glad we are all one family.

This sounds great, wish I’d made the effort to go now! Maybe next year

Nice post McForest, glad you enjoyed the trip.

We are in safe hands, they will make mistakes but I remain convinced that they will deliver in time.

Was watching some of the pre-match on the greek tv station last night. Obviously it was all in Greek so I had no idea what they were saying but I caught a quick interview with Randall that he gave to the station. And now here's some words from Marinakis himself about us. And Modesto yesterday to Radio Nottngham too.

Why are they prepared to do this in Greece, but not to the English media?

I am a season ticket holder, I read the official website everyday, I subscribe to the Ifollow service, I spend more time on this forum than I do working in the day, I read the Forest coverage in the post every day. I'm sure I'm no different to others on here. Why don't they make themselves available to our media so people like me can be informed? Off the pitch they seem to be doing a really good job so why wont they talk about it to us? I just don't understand it.

Didn't Sniffer say that Marinakis owned that tv channel that showed the match.

I would imagine that's why, he wanted to promote Forest in Greece on his channel.

Yes, he does own the channel so it makes sense for him to be promoting one or both of his football teams on it.

There's a BBC East Midlands Today interview with Marinakis on the local news this evening, with a link to follow on the BBCRNS Facebook page later. Should make for interesting viewing!

Some great statements. Almost as enthusing as people "should be given the precious commodity of time"

I look forward to these statements being disregarded as carefreely as the previous ones once the season starts lol.

It's all boll0cks, buy some decent players, back the next decent manager we have, and start winning some games. Talk is for lovers.

when i saw the interview it is actually the first time i have seem Marinakis speak

He's a likeable bloke, but ultimately it's all fluff.

We've opertated ridiculously naivly since his arrival in terms of football decisions IMO. That needs to change before everything else will. Statements about their intentions mean nowt

i just let loose above, was letting loose as you replied to the initial comment, i agree, i've looked at Marinakis, he isn't class at the moment, immature ... 13 managers across his 2 clubs in less than 3 seasons, that has to mean, they didn't believe in tradition or stability or potential but somehow, some way, he does? mmmmm

You summed it up well for me here mate.

Silva looked good last night, but generally I don't think we've added anywhere near enough to address our fundamental issues.

Muric in goal & Cash at RB is a disaster waiting to happen. It's a free win to any opposition who attack that flank. Lets hope it was just a one-off.

Lamouchi is gonna have to learn very fast to make something of the mess EM has created with his sackings last season. If he's still here in December I'll be very surprised.

The two interviews from Modesto and the big man confirm one thing. The coach is replaceable- but the structure will remain. Think Watford!

also here is Francois Modesto interview .. scouts for us and Olympiacos

at least they gave interviews and i know a little bit more about them, i guess they are close, our hope is that they replicate Olympiacos success here.

Bizarre as it sounds, trying to replicate Olympiacos or thinking the Olympiacos story really is a Roy of the Rovers story is and potentially will be even more of a noose around our necks

i think they recruited 3 decent, clearly focussed managers, all decent, all proven as competent to enough of an extent but Marinakis still doesn't have a clue what a successful championship manager looks like, sounds like and believes, Marinakis has to stick with someone, until he learns from his mistakes he is just wasting time, the biggest bolted on casino and cafe nero, the biggest training ground will get us nowhere nearer the PL

He's a slightly more successful version of Hardy but relatively unsuccessful over the last 2 seasons and he has got through around 13 managers across both clubs with both clubs totally under achieving ... just my opinion, and this is dressing it up postively, can't say what i really feel about him.

At the moment he is totally deluded, cannot see us anywhere near the PL this season, 35 players is far to many, wasted summer, revolving everything and not appealing to attract really quality/value players, they will go elsewhere, Marinakis comes over very similar, possibly slightly more immature than Fawaz, we got a duff one i'm afraid

Stop talking bollocks PSS. It is getting very tiresome.
