I agree 100% TPL.

Despite what happened at West Brom last season I would love us to sign Gayle.

The Napoli striker is the one we've been linked too for top dollar. Time will tell on the striker front but I think we need another top quality one. I'm not sure Gayle will fit the system. He needs to play as a 2 up top.

Ha what system? We’ve not played a game yet!

Maybe read some of the reports about him from France and his preferred system as a coach. He has used it throughout his managerial career.

Cant imagine were spending big on a striker, not with the value of the signings made /linked so far.

Looks like its an austerity window for us this year.

The reports I read said he liked playing 433 or 442, however he also played 4231. So pretty vague

Fwiw we’re currently 12th favourites for the title with the bookmakers, so it’s not just us fans that think we need some impressive signings.

Those odds probably also reflect our unproven manager and the likelihood he’ll be sacked by Christmas!

Joint 7th favorites with Bet365 along with Huddersfield, Derby, Brentford and Bristol City @ 16/1

Paddy Power have us at 25/1 which is madness

Nottingham Forest's new boss Sabri Lamouchi could be set to add retired Ligue 1 shot-stopper Herve Sekli to his backroom staff.

I’d looked at Betfair, we were 25/1 there too. Hopefully they’re wrong!

We have money to spend. Soudani, Vellios, Murphy and Cummings all gone or going. That leaves us with Grabban who I think it is fair to say may have a fitness issue hanging over him and Ansarifard who may yet leave the club also.
