The Premier League

Insisting that they have 'irrefutable evidence' that they're innocent and accusing the Premier League of a conspiracy.

Well if they have all this evidence why were they found guilty on all but one charge? Is it just on a USB drive somewhere?

Its AI generated too he doesn't blink in 3 minutes. Brilliant to watch.

 Nowhere near severe enough.
They will not be a Premier League club next season.
Needs 15 EPL clubs to vote them to be expelled from the League.
Would imagine that level of support is there to do this

Is that right? I thought an independent commission set the punishment. Didn't think the clubs had any say in it.

Ah you're right - they've just said so on SSN. The commission could recommend expulsion but as you say 3/4 of the other EPL clubs would have to vote for it to happen.

Doubt a vote would be unanimous, not sure if it would get 15 in favour.

I do wonder who many PL chief executives secretly think to themselves the only difference between City and them is that City got caught.

Well apart from those seasons under Fawaz our owner has never also owned our sponsor so nothing like Man City has done.

The only concern I would have would be around what happened with John Textor - allegations that we got the players from Botafogo on the cheap because he owed Marinakis money. But even with that I'm not sure how you'd prove they were 'cheap' because who sets market values for players?

Fine. Deduct them 50 points for each of the next 5 seasons they're in the Premier League then. It might or might not relegate them but it'd mean they're in a struggle to stay up each season and would have zero chance of winning it.

Unfortunately people think of money rather than the integrity of the game, people that would vote against expulsion are not fit for football either. Complicit in this type behaviour becoming acceptable because were getting a few quid.

Shocking in my view. The game should be about football and that should be at the forefront of any decision not the amount of money involved.

You have to say the beautiful game is no longer beautiful. Its an embarrassment.

Everything in this world is controled by money which in turn give you power, right and wrong does not exist anymore!!!!!!!

Surely at least 15 would want them to pay for what they did even if not unanimous. City find themselves where they are because of this and their income didn't take a dive in 2018 when these leaks came out and the investigations started. So, another question would be did they carry on or find some other way of boosting income after 2018? Pinto by that point would have been arrested so unlikely to hack them again.

Even we could argue the margins of the FA Cup semi final defeat may have been tipped more to us, had they not had these extra funds. We came close to getting back into it don't forget, and they may have not even got to the semi with a squad assembled on less of a budget.

The point about what happens after 2018 is a good one. It doesn't seem realistic that they'd just suddenly stop doing what had served them so well before.

Someone on here earlier said that Pinto had a lot more stuff he had hacked that hadn't been released yet. Maybe he is waiting to see if they appeal before doing so?

Fairly sure any further leaks will be released at the point of maximum impact.

And it does sound as though there is still worse to come.

Lol.
Here we go.....
