I am glad that others (Chicago) has advovated that Murillio could be moved into the midfield to cover the defense and add some steel and long passing, I advocated this a few weeks back and was shot down by some on the forum? We could then have a little more height in the centre of our defense which would help with set pieces.

Neco is good at left back and Savona was very decent against a rampaging Semenyo. I would not have Murillo anywhere but the middle. If this means defensive midfield to give Jair a chance and also add to set pieces then i am for it.
This is to aid a midfield that isn't physical enough sometimes. Also we can keep our structure too. Luiz, Ando and Morgan cannot play all the time and if we want to keep them fresh then this isn't a terrible idea when needed. BOurnmouth wa always going to be difficult but if we got the boys up for a real fight because we were bullied then at least it would have been competitive. Also this is the first Muff clean sheet all season which is very worrying as we didn't look like scoring. Chicago: Creating chaos.

We definitely could go down but should get a run together at some point hopefully maybe.

The BBC showed a stat the other day that I can’t find again, that showed the likelihood of staying up with a given points total after 10 games.
Long story short, relegation is very likely for us. Fail to beat Man Utd (the 10th game) and it’s almost nailed on.

In a normal season I would suggest Cornish. Very valid point though.

We NEED at least 10 more wins plus a handful of draws to scrape over the line and avoid possible relegation, not looking good at the moment?

We were 98% likely to qualify for the ECL last season with just a few games to play. I think nailed on for relegation is perhaps a little over pessimistic with 28 still to go.

To be fair I’m not trying to be either optimistic or pessimistic, just the stats with no emotion involved do not make for good reading. And that’s without mentioning the stats of only scoring 1 league goal since the opening day. However only one team has avoided relegation from 5 points after 10 games…. Us. Does that make more or less likely we could do it again? |
