Are We Going Down? - wassy04 - 26-10-2025 9 games in, you'd think after the next game would be a legit time to start looking at the table. A few worrying things have already emerged, us being terrible for one. Also, Leeds, Sunderland and even Burnley showing fight. Thankfully Wolves/West Ham look terrible. If we can stay in front of then you'd fancy us overtaking Leeds or Burnley at some point. Its really the Sunderland and West Ham games that are hurting us right now. Brentford - Win - expected Palace - Draw - good result West Ham - Loss - Result looks worse every week. Arsenal - Loss - expected Burnley away - disappointing but not crushing. Sunderland - Loss - terrible Newcastle - Loss- expected Chelsea - Loss - would've hoped for at least a draw Bournemouth - Loss - expected It's those home games that are hurting us so far, badly. Got to turn it around in these next two. Really need 4 points at least. RE: Are We Going Down? - Sniffer Dog (Admin) - 26-10-2025 No but we need to prepare for a scrap. RE: Are we going down? - Salvatore Matrecano - 26-10-2025 Im looking for the 3 worse teams. Think Wolves are nailed on. Pick any 2 from Forest, West Ham Fulham , Burnley , Leeds. RE: Are We Going Down? - ToryTom - 26-10-2025 If not we need a big big improvement. RE: Are We Going Down? - ozzyten10 - 27-10-2025 No goals = relegation. We are lowest scorers RE: Are We Going Down? - Paplane - 27-10-2025 We're showing all the signs of a relegated side. Can't score and cant not concede. RE: Are We Going Down? - DeesideRed - 27-10-2025 We can't judge Bournemouth away after a huge Europa win United and moreso Leeds will be the games RE: Are We Going Down? - DR Forest - 27-10-2025 To re-invoke the question asked at the start of the season when Ange came in- ‘would you take a replica of Tottenham’s season last year’? At this moment, damned right I would. RE: Are We Going Down? - RyanR - 27-10-2025 I’m now not confident we can beat Man United. They seem to have turned a corner. I really think we’re going to be scrapping all season unless the players start showing some fight. Ange is gone, so that can’t be the excuse. At least we have the right man at the helm for a relegation battle if it comes to it RE: Are We Going Down? - Salvatore Matrecano - 27-10-2025 If you mean would we accept finishing 17th and a good run in Europe, I would snap your hand off. If you mean simply not prioritising the league then, Sorry but we just can’t risk that. Last year there were 3 teams from the start nailed on to drop, Tottenham basically had a free pass. This year likely at least 2 of the promoted teams will stay up. Its also hugely annoying that Sunderland currently look everything that we are not. Its 9 games in, sell MGW and his dummy for what we can in January, get dyche his big hard bustard battlers in, sell a striker or 2 and get someone with quality in, folk quite happy to use glasners first 9 games to defend ange, but write sean off after his first defeat after beating porto is mental RE: Are We Going Down? - ToryTom - 27-10-2025 Just finishing 17th will feel like an achievement. We didn’t concede five goals but that performance yesterday was as bad as Fulham away when we conceded five. We created nothing all game but we needed to go into half time at 0.0 to put some pressure on Bournemouth in the second half. The first goal was pathetic from Selz. It was Turneresqe and from then on it was game over. The second wasn’t much better. Anderson and Luiz tackling each other in the middle of the park. The omens do not look good. Let’s hope for a third miracle in five years. |
