Evangelos Marinakis And Co

The replies to this even from neutral fans are mostly encouraging to be fair.

I read that earlier and whilst I really dislike Carragher I thought it was an ok read.  He referred to all of the things that everyone says, but was careful not to say that he thought it - maybe because he doesn’t.

It felt to me like a backtracking exercise after thinking more closely about Forest.

I still think he’s a spitting gobshite but on this occasion I thought it was fair enough really.

EM is many things but he doesn't spit in the faces of children and his father was never in court for sexual offences unlike two people I could mention.

However the overall tone of it is his disapproval which is where his true hypocrisy shows.

There isn’t nuance on the negative points, eg he states Nuno didn’t know what he was signing up for in the summer. Which I would suggest many of us that follow the club closely regard as nonsense. Or that we cheated to avoid relegation, when we merely sold Johnson late, so if anything the advantage was in Johnson appearing in our team at the start of the next season - in which we were deducted points. Or that Everton finished below us and egregiously broke the rules. Or that Leicester who went down obliterated the spending rules.

What you may call nuance is around the acceptance of the whole package of that with the good stuff, which is why I say thinly veiled. I fundamentally do not accept the premise of (all of) the criticism of our owner. And the more these hacks propagate it, sadly, the more the casual fan takes them as true.

Don’t get me wrong, Carragher and Neville are two of the biggest wankers in football and I have no idea why people listen to them.  It’s part of the reason I never watch Sky even when we’re on and I’m not at the game.  Obviously I still watch the game elsewhere, I’m not mental.

Marinakis is the kind of bloke I’d like to be if I had enough money to not give a shit like him.

EM is the best thing to happen to this club since BC walked through the doors in 1975.

I bet an English owner who fought their club's corner like Marinakis does wouldn't be written about the same way.

Agreed.

Every other club in the country wishes they had EM.
Some wouldn’t admit it, but I guarantee it

So frustrating the way this whole debacle has played out.

A blind man could see we needed a few new signings, but not 13.

Edu ripped up the plan EM and Nuno had agreed on at start  of the summer. Nuno spat his dummy, EM backed Edu and sacked Nuno.

Then of course the conspiracy theories start. Nuno wanted out (he didnt), Nuno got £8 million severance (nope) Ange goes on holiday with EM (no idea).

The fact is we have gone from Brentford performance to this sh1tshow in no Time and the whole thing is self inflicted.

Last night was a dark day. Embarrassing both on and off the pitch. It was the day the world got to hear what an entitled bunch of pr1cks an element of our fans have become (I wish I could blame our newbies but plenty of long term A block folk sung Nunos name).

This time last week I was travelling back from Seville. I support Nottingham Forest. Not an owner, manager or Director of f#(k ups. But neither do I want to be part of creating such a toxic atmosphere. Fuming.
