Evangelos Marinakis And Co
Nothing to see here.

It was the Thessaloniki International Trade Fair and is an annual international exhibition event held in Thessaloniki.

Many politicians and big buissnessmen are always in attendance.

I knew EM was there which is why I said that he wasn't in the UK and not sure if talks with Nuno had taken place.

I get it. Just took me by surprise  :Funny:

BBC’s MOTD Twitter account has release a short vid on EM focusing on all his court cases in ‘who is EM’ style piece for the casual fan. f*****g extraordinary, no one else gets this scrutiny, city’s owners nor Newcastle’s it’s baffling

A mate of mine saw Marinakis yesterday at Gastech, a major exhibition, walked past him. Managed to get a photo of him as he walked away in the opposite direction.

We're box office and EM is not shy of the limelight.  We are in the news constantly and drives traffic to their websites.  I've not brought myself around to watching it - imagine they mention nothing of his huge heart when it comes to all things charity and his donations to the community in Nottm and back home in Greece.

I made a post on another thread yesterday defending Carragher. I have just see the below link and have deleted my post defending him. The bloke is as big a xxxx as his mate.

The replies to this even from neutral fans are mostly encouraging to be fair.

Interesting why an opinion piece on EM has needed to be written in a major newspaper guess EM thrives on this stuff and it’s just further evidence that his ruffling the right feathers

The problem for EM is that he’s box office and seemingly can’t stay out of the news. Basically it’s easier to hate a grumpy looking Greek bloke storming onto the pitch than it is to hate an anonymous Saudi who endorses public executions.

The only reason we are disliked is because of people like Carragher and Neville spouting their vitriol on social media. EM has done great work for our football club, our city and our community.

Why can't they spout that?

Believe it or not I made a reply on the original article to exactly that effect detailing specific examples of his charity work. I know I’m wasting my time but I feel better about it.

It’s a thinly veiled hit piece, trying to reinforce the negative narrative against us - that the likes of him have been cultivating - and in particular against the owner.

That we cheated to avoid relegation at the expense of others. That Nuno had no idea what he signed up to when extending his contract in the summer. Etc.

No nuance, no chat that maybe some criticism is justified and some not. Written as if there is not a question about these things, but that some of us fans are willing to go along with it for success.

Makes my Sky subscription less tempting, and those little sticks more tempting.

The original article was from the Telegraph and there is nuance in there as well as saying he grudgingly admires him and admitting most Forest fans think EM is great. However the overall tone of it is his disapproval which is where his true hypocrisy shows.
