As soon as there is redevelopment at the ground, the commercial boys will step in and make sure the best seats in the house along the centre of the stands are unaffordable, and the atmosphere will disappear.

I'm in no hurry for the redevelopment. They are not doing it for us anyway.

Having to queue for 5 minutes to piss into a blocked over flowing urinal is a small price to pay for the best atmosphere in the country.

The atmosphere isn't currently generated by the "best seats along the centre line" now in Peter Taylor, as these are largely corporate already. 
When you can sell 1 ticket for 1 game for the price of a season ticket, the club have to do it, otherwise all the other "normal" tickets have to be more expensive.

The club will have to balance getting in high paying "tourists/corporate" and regular season ticket & members (who generate the atmosphere and will remain for years).

Well they asked Welhams from nottingham to do something for them but I’d say a football stand might be too big of a project for them

Dan Taylor reporting that planning permission is likely to be granted subject to a number of planning conditions. Doesn't say what they are though.

Probably no different to last time with the moving of the boat club being a necessity. A travel plan and s106 contributions being paid and probably even more up to date surveys

Still a way to go I fear regarding the City Ground Development. Forest unlikely to proceed with the £130 m development of the Peter Taylor Stand until they have purchased the freehold of the ground and that is unlikely until approval is granted for the redevelopment of the Bridgford Road Stand. Also there is the small matter of sorting alternative premises for the Boat Club and having it operational before ANY construction works can start.  All a bit of a vicious circle unfortunately and I really feel the commencement of The City Ground Development is still some years away.
