I was reading about manure building their new stadium. Which i think looks absolutely awful btw.

But..... they've written a lot about the closeness to the shipping canal and using that to build the stadium off site in modules, significantly shortening the time to build it all. I was wondering if we could do similar with the river trent??? Or maybe the bridges stop that being a possibility?!

Any new updates on this? It seems that Forest are going to present a revised planning application to Rushcliffe Borough Council again - not sure why.

This whole process has been ridiculous and it seems we're not any closer to actually seeing any work taking place.

Technically the club dont actually have planning permission yet and never have. They obtained a resolution to approve from the planning committee subject to a Section 106 being negotiated between the council and the club. S106's can take ages to sort out and this has been no exception albeit things do seem to have been protracted what with covid, Toton, the purchase of the site and the discussions with all three councils involved.

As far as I'm aware the S106 has now been agreed (or its close) but it's taken so long to do so the council feel it appropriate to re-submit the entire application as a lot of the specialist reports and inputs have expired and needed renewing. I'm sure it'll be approved again this time around but there is a proper process to go through and this is it happening.

Yeah, the Nottingham Post had an article mentioning the de-coupling which is what prompted me to ask the question.

As others have there’s been an agreement to ‘de-couple’ the stand development and the residential block development. The viability of the apartment block was questioned with the plan not to provide affordable housing, it seems an agreement as been reached for more s106 contributions in lieu as i assume they’re going for upmarket apartments upsold on their location.  I’ll screenshot the addendum below.

If the whole things got to be re-submitted, surely to god this will be with alterations to both BC and Bridgford stand which would obviously happen at a later date. What a fiasco.

Have we changed our minds on the new Training Ground, that also seems to have gone rather quiet?

I understood that we change the architects from Benoy to Fosters who designed the new Wembley last year, but to date no new scheme or drawings have been produced and submitted for planning, all very odd. Just cant see this happening in the next 5 years or so as progress or lack of is painfully slow!!!!
