Can't see it though. Be surprised if Villa won the CL and whilst Spurs might win the Europa League I don't see them finishing 10th!

Just to put some context into what this means financially for the club qualifying for the Champions League
In terms of pure UEFA prize money - this does not include sponsorship, ticket revenue etc. Villa 83.7m Liverpool 98.1m Arsenal 102m So when you take into account larger sponsorship deals, match day revenue etc, you are looking at 100m + if you can finish in top 24 of the 32 teams

What excites me most about the CL is the calibre of player that we will be able to attract.

We shouldn’t get as many turning as down because they want a big 6 team or a London club. It does bring its own risk, big headed players on big money who will lose interest should we fail to progress in the competition and want away. Our success this season is built on team spirit and the over achievement of the collective squad. We cannot allow that to be thrown away by any bad attitudes. However yes we should be at last able to attract some serious talent.

Still means making the right choices in the market though Sniff. Too many Sangare's signed and not enough Murillo's and you end up being screwed massively because they've not produced on the pitch yet you're having to accommodate their Champions League wage demands.

I honestly believe we'll still not be taken seriously by the very top players because most of them will feel our champions league campaign will be a one year only adventure.
