I always find it incredible that you can get punished for bringing the game into disrepute for questioning the ability of referees when it is their constant errors, mistakes and bias that causes people to speak out. That’s their poor performances that are bringing the game into disrepute.

The Premier League was extremely disappointed to read the comments made by Nottingham Forest on social media yesterday, following its match against Everton.

We note The FA has confirmed it will be investigating the club’s statement. It is never appropriate to improperly question the integrity of match officials, and the nature of these comments means the Premier League will also be investigating the matter in relation to the League’s Rules.

PGMOL insiders claim Clattenburg did not ask for the appointment to be changed and nor did Forest have a problem with Attwell’s involvement. They also say the pair spoke after Nuno’s press conference, in which Attwell was not mentioned. However, Nuno met the press at 1.30pm and we can reveal Webb and Clattenburg spoke at 10.30am.

Looks like Howard Webb/PGMOL have basically lied
