Just got this nagging feeling he'll sell up.

The risk I guess is that he thinks the prem is a closed shop, which it appears is the case. Realistically now his ambition to be upper table club again is simply unachievable imo.

I am a bit disappointed with EM to be honest.

I have defended him loads on this forum and took a bit of grieve for it.

So it's only right for me to say that I am feeling slightly aggrieved at the moment.

Yes Sniff I would appreciate if you just come out and say what the main issue is.  It's vague you just saying that you are disappointed but is there one specific thing?  Is it the Johnson sale or lack of it when we needed to or something else.  Would appreciate some clarity please.

I think the big man has still got fight in him and will want to prove the PL wrong with the way they treat the league as a 2 class league those who are mega rich and those who needs to duck and dive to survive.

Hopefully nothing more than Sniffer feeling aggrieved by the fact that he has defended Marinakis and his/the clubs actions a number of times on here in the belief that, no matter what other issues (eg recruitment, manager, players) there were to criticise on, Marinakis wouldn’t allow the club to fall foul of FFP/PSR.

Im Going to take a guess here, apologies if I am wrong, but I suspect many fans feel most aggrieved that they have been deliberately misled by the club. I know the supporters Trust issued a statement hinting they are disappointed that in their interview with Randall in May he explicitly said we were complying with PSR even though he will certainly have known at that time that was untrue.

I think we all know EM doesn’t always play by the rulebook and its one of the reasons we love him. Forest obviously couldn’t have openly said we were going to breach PSR but maybe there has been a bit of trust lost in what’s happened.

I don't want to really talk about finance on here but we were under the impression we could use covid losses and exclude promotion bonuses in the accounts and thats why we thought we were under the limits so to say the hierarchy misled us on purpose is pretty much crap. Why would we want to misled the loyal supporters knowing we could get a big fine, points deduction or even both but we know the answer now and we need to just get on with it without appealing.

I just think the Everton and now our own FFP troubles this season, soon to be followed next year by a host of mid table clubs possibly hitting the buffers as well as more resourced clubs such as Chelsea, Newcastle and Villa having to sell players to comply will have a sobering effect on the attractiveness of the premier league to investors and future owners. No one of any repute buys a club to make money, they're all in there for a bit of glory and the buzz of owning a sports club. Imo the premier league has reached a threshold where the hierarchy is fixed now ad infinitum. The Newcastle situation is ridiculous, I'm sure none of us want another nation state distorting the league any more than it currently is, but if even they can't now break into the top 6 club because the rules are being written and amended to prevent them, and similarly a promoted club like us having to become established with one hand tied behind our backs, then this will put many people off who don't have any affiliation to the club. This is the year where the premier league ate itself. 

The 30 odd years of financial imbalance has now come to a head. The party's over and I can well see owners leave the game.

They are already lining up an excuse that it'll be the governments fault for introducing a regulator.
