Yep, we got our VAR momemt again today. Im suprised it was so late this week. Wouldn't have changed the game though. Brighton were offering no attacking threat really. They would've gone into a low block and no way are we breaking that down.

It more or less has been. Look at last year - Man Utd Maguire handles exactly the same as nihkate v Newcastle - opposite decision.
We have only one go for us this year - Burnley. I count 9 against now that were blatant.

Why aren’t VAR asking the ref to review these decisions on the field replay screens? When was the last time this happened? Are they worried about the flow of games and the backlash of fans for the stoppages?

Just like necos deffo foul for a penalty that wasn’t given against West Ham why not say it looks bad but we didn’t wanna be seen to influence the game go and check it yourself and you take the full flack? Especially as as in this instance the commentators I was listening to on the stream I watched said they both thought it would be a sending off and so did bbc 5 live commentators!

Mike Dean was on Sky Soccer Saturday this weekend. He referred to the ref going to the monitor as something like the walk of shame for the ref. If that's what they consider it to be, and the var's themselves are refs too and it might be them the week after then they're clearly not prepared to drop their mate into that situation. Its wrong, no one's talking about it and it stinks. But if it happens to Liverpool however suddenly it'll be a problem 'for the game'. Bunch of crooks.

I’ve just seen Klopp complaining about the ref not giving them a penalty and it costing them 2 points, no mention of the 2 points the ref gave them last week, hypocrite.

One of the biggest flaws of VAR is that its just refs. There should be trained VAR officials who are independent and specifically trained to use the images as opposed to ref on the field doing the job.

Was about to post the same thing - VAR should be a totally independent thing away from the PGMOL - too many times it looks as though they are marking their own homework.

They need to release the dialogue from VAR discussions for all games. Only then would you be able to trust the system. You’d hear the reasoning. However this won’t happen because they are unprofessional and have bias.
