Crap Referees
I think what is really annoying me is the people who say - there was 1 min 20 secs between the ball being given to scousers or Forest had the chance to clear the ball. They are totally missing the point on some many things. If ball is given to CHO as it should have been, we are in possession in a dangerous area and have the option of attempting to get a cross in to score, drive the ball into the corner and go for time wasting or hitting the ball into one of their players to get a corner. All these take time and also as we are on the attack, all the scousers are in their own half trying to stop us scoring. By giving them the ball, when the kick is taken by the goalie, their players are in our half so ready for an attack.

This argument & other just as ridiculous arguments like the 'he did the same thing to us in the first half' lie are clearly being used to gaslight & deflect from the main point. The scousers are famous for it

They know the rules Jack.

Problem is they don't  play by them.

If it was a player instead of a ref it would be called match fixing. It would be a criminal offense.

It needs investigating and looking into, it's  corruption.

However  we dress it up it all points to corrupt officiating. His mistake was even pointed out to him by the assistants but he chose to ignore them blatantly.

Match fixing? Taking a bribe?

It was no accidental mistake he knew exactly what he was doing.

Never mind our circumstances, I wonder what will happen if Liverpool win the league by 1 or 2 points. Would the team(s) they beat to it consider legal action?

Yep he did know what he was doing as he told Yates that the rule was the keeper gets the ball. Everyone in that stadium knew bar him.

The rules: Team A is in possession. The ref stops play. Play restarts with Team A in possession.

It’s very simple.

What that ref did: Forest clearly in possession. The ref stops play. He gives the ball to Liverpool to restart play.

It’s not some obscure rule, it’s a very simple principle.

Question to Simon Stone on BBC website….where to begin?

John: What has happened to the quality of referees? Paul Tierney's incredible mistake cost Forest at least a point and added two more points to Liverpool. He is not the only one as standards have dropped. How is Howard Webb going to sidestep this latest calamity?

Simon: So, firstly, I think we need to climb back here. Tierney’s decision did not help Forest but it is wrong to say he cost them a point. Play continued for quite a long time after he had given the ball to Liverpool, it even went out of play. Callum Hudson-Odoi had a chance to clear inside his own penalty area but didn’t and Darwin Nunez could have been marked tighter. These were all bigger factors in Forest conceding that goal. In reality, I suspect the standard of refereeing is higher than it has ever been, but so is the standard and speed of play. And there is no doubt scrutiny on referees is greater than it has ever been as well. I really don’t think it is helpful when all the blame is pinned on one man, in one moment as though he threw the ball into the net. Tierney made a similar decision in the first half, in favour of Forest, so I guess you could say he was being consistent even if it might have been wrong.

Wow, all those 'bigger' factors would've been irrelevant had the ball been at the other end of the pitch where it should've been

The quality of so called pundits and football experts in this country is staggering. They know nothing about teams, players, clubs who aren't top 6 sides.

For starters most of them believe we're called Notts Forest. Many don't gave a clue about our injury problems these last 2 seasons and most are oblivious of the injustices we've been subjected to with incorrect refereeing decisions. If I were a pundit i'd spend my off days doing my research.

Is Simon a Liverpool fan by chance? Supposed expert can’t even get simple facts correct or appreciate the rule around drop ball correctly applied in the first incident but incorrectly for the second. Sorry what a t..t

Even Mike Dean dismissed this bollocks, it's definitely a media push.

Seems to me that the only precedent where there is an error in applying the law of the game is that the game is replayed from the moment the error took place.

Sounds like a reasonable solution and I am sure after Klopps histrionics following the tottenham game he would be happy for this to be done......

yeah right.
Here we go.....
