Nobody is smashing us and we are staying in games right until the final whistle blows.
Everything little mistake we make seems to get punished.
I suppose that is because of the elite level we are playing at and the elite players we are playing against.
I see plenty of positives but at the same time plenty of negatives too.
To sum up it's a tough watch at the minute but I see cause for optimism but things need to change fast starting next Saturday with West Ham.
Hopefully the authorities remove their finger from you know where and get on with telling us our fate. The sooner this happens, the better. We are in limbo with not knowing which causes anxiety in the stands and affects the atmosphere. Sort it out!
This is critical in my opinion. I feel it is a farce to not have any real clue as to what the punishment could be. There is, to a lay person like me, a complete lack of transparency in the system.
Nail hit firmly on the head PR! There are all sorts of rumours/facts around that range from the sublime to the rediculous. Get on with it so we can!

I’m guessing a few of you are too young to remember our relegation under Clough.
Everyone kept saying we were too good to go down.
We’ve been dropping points since pretty much game week one.
People should be genuinely concerned.
The P&S stuff is irrelevant. We simply need to be better regardless

I do indeed week after week thinking it will turn around, we needed a striker and Clough's press conference and when questioned about when he was doing announcing we had signed a PL striker.
Robert F**king Rossario.
We went down and the signs On Loan appeared. A few more highs and lows and 23 years out.
I don't think the owner will let that happen.

I doubt he has any control over what might happen!

Slightly different. In 93 we leaked at the back (Carl Tiler at CB) but couldn’t score up front (Gary Bannister).
This year we can definitely score and as long as T can stay fit and Wood returns at some point we should be OK on that front. Leaking at the back is a definite issue.
At this rate we could escape a points deduction, Everton have a successful appeal and we go down anyway.

It wasn’t the nature of how we were relegated that I was referring to, it was the failure to recognise we were in real trouble until too late.

Surely nobody is denying that we are in trouble are they?
I must have missed that.

My point is more around the uncertainty and how this is starting to turn the perilous position into a toxic one amongst an increasing number of the fan base. We do not have a divine right to be in the EPL. IF there is to be a points deduction, give us a chance to sort it on the pitch and get the fan base back behind the team.

Thanks Sniff.
Unfortunately I was there to watch the 92-3 season and the other crap relegations...we DID sleepwalk into those. The EPL are doing their best to screw us over and see us go down in my opinion, so at least give us a punchers chance.

Nuno is famed for being a coach and not thinking much wider than that. It’s feels very distant and not like it did. But maybe that’s just because we’re not winning. Our luck has to change soon, a couple of wins and things will look and feel very different
