Watched a decent documentary today on Prime called 'Local Heroes'. It is all about the three local legends, Viv Anderson, garry Birtles and Tony Woodcock. It is in part in association with the Samantha Birtles charity.

Not a bad watch, especially as the weather outside is horrible to go out in

Forest getting some good press in the UK and overseas for inviting a 92 year old lady to the West Ham match. She used to be a season ticket holder but gave it up some years ago when her eyesight started failing. She wanted to hear Mull of Kintyre one more time and the club made it happen. Her reaction is something to behold too.

And when they interviewed her before the match she predicted the correct result and scoreline too.

NEW: Jon Fearn to leave his role as head of medical at #nffc. Fearn was appointed only last July and is highly regarded in the game. Previously worked with Chelsea for 13 years before leaving in Jan 2023.

While done with good intentions I'm sure, personally I found the club's excessive use of the event for pr purposes a little uncomfortable.

Yes that’s a fair point and agree to some extent. I would prefer it to have been other outlets than the club putting this out there and praising us for once. I  suppose we can’t blame the club for making the most of this though given the usual negativity being published about us.

No, this is the modern pr world, it's what happens. It's just me that's a dinosaur, I'm sure.

Hope the lady and her family had a lovely time. The face on the lad stood next to her was a treat. He was lapping it up bless him.
