Once again VAR failed to intervene when Toney not only moved the ball (twice) but he also moved the referees spray.
A blatant act of cheating but VAR fail to get involved. What are they actually there for?
They get paid to watch the game and that’s about it.

Our players should have made the referee aware of the incident. Not one of them spotted it either.
Regardless VAR is solely for people watching on TV. It kills the game in the ground, how much better was the midweek game without it.

Would have been interesting had they reviewed the lead up to Danilo’s goal as well. Not the goal but Toney’s coming together with Yates beforehand where he clearly caught Yates. Not even looked at or replayed as it was Toney! Had it been looked at it’s questionable as to whether he’d had been on the pitch to score the free kick.

The problem and lets hide from this most of the Forest team are just not savvy should have been in the refs face but none seem to have the bollocks, to accepting which I am afraid gets you nowhere in the PL regardless if you agree or not that how it is.
However I still think we will be safe this season, much better then Brentford in many aspects and once all our players are back will be much more potent in front of goal and defensively. Enjoyed the game except for the total bias by both Sky and BBC to all things Toney & Brentford

Even though it looked like he might have put his foot in I actually assumed there wasn't a red card else Yates would have made more of it, but why no replay when even Carragher on punditry said it was something to look at again.
There must be clips of this from better angles, something on Twitter/X? Or is it consigned to the Sky Sports studios cutting room floor? The studio in Brentford...

I agree, its a nice diversion from the VAR bollox & Sky Sports 6 / Sky Studios FC bias. I counted 15 Prem teams left, and there are 5 all Prem ties in the next round. So at most 10 Prem teams after this round. Get our players back and a couple of Jan signings and with the luck of the draw we could have a nice run.

I genuinely don’t think that’s the case.
At all.
Have a look at the players when the scored the third and the VAR (rightly) went against us. The referee could easily have booked two or three of ours.

Username, but he didn't! I thing we have been a soft touch for a number of years which probably reflects the managers/head coaches at Forest, we have not had a hard bastard since psycho.

He didn’t because he bottled it, the only person he booked was our assistant.

Thought Attwell did a good job last night.
So much better without VAR.

It was a good performance from a ref who was given the responsibility to make decisions and not have VAR checking everything.
