Well seeing as the Premier Leagues own statement grouped us with Everton and made no distinction I think that comment is harsh. To all intents and purposes the actual offences are the same.

Trying to finger point the Athletic because one particular journalist may have an agenda is daft in my view too. Fact is they are the main media outlet for football and have more column inches to fill than any other national publication. The Sun, Mail and Telegraph are more interested in Liverpool and Man City to care enough to write about the “small clubs”. It’s good to have an outlet where we at least get some coverage.

Does either of the Taylors have an agenda? In my view no. They both write plenty good news stories about Forest which are overlooked. The so called negative stuff I think it’s mostly OK and I don’t think its been over the top this week. Somebody needs to shine a light on things because sure as heck the Supporters Trust doesn’t. Maybe you would rather be in the dark like we were under Fawaz with everyone saying things are going fine. Thank goodness Taylor was awake to that because he was literally the only one who was. He can lean to the negative for sure but thats media for you in general, read the news headlines and try telling me any of that is positive.

By the way, club mouthpiece John Percy wrote an article on Monday saying Forests problems were self inflicted.

To be honest I've already considered it as I'm getting fed up of the USMNT prefix before the name of anyone who plays for the US national team. It's a style guide that makes them look like a marketing division for the US football federation.

It's a US-based US-owned company that has made an attempt to move into the UK. I did have a trial subscription for a time based on the fact that DT was a Forest fan. Owned by the New York Times which basically hates the UK for some unknown reason.

I have normally read most of the articles that PT writes if mainly fluff and very high level but enjoyable however yesterdays was just utterly contemptuous - If I hadnt just renewed I would have cancelled I just have no idea what place that article had in any relevant Forest conversation..probably not the way to strike up any rappore with Nuno either.

No, the PL merely reported that both Clubs had confirmed that they were in breach of the rules.

Most of the reportage relating to the latest breaches make no attempt whatsoever to highlight the differences in both Clubs cases.

No effort has been made to highlight the fact that we have committed to help the commission in every possible way; conversely, no attempt has been made to highlight the manner in which Everton attempted to pull the wool over the eyes of the tribunal first time around.

A good deal of the rubbish that has been published in the Athletic has been by journalists other than Taylor and Taylor; Paul makes no secret of the fact that his knowledge of PSR is border line zero; Danny, on the other hand, is more preoccupied with benchmarking our owners with the halcyon days of the ND era - first we had carry on Kuwait and now a Greek tragedy - if he wants to nit pick, and there will always be plenty to go at no matter who is in charge - at least be consistent and compare all of our misfortunes - he could, for instance, mention the fact that both EM and ND are the only two owners who have managed to get the Club out of the Championship, but he doesnt.

And John Percy is perfectly correct, our problems are self inflicted, but I would rather have self inflicted problems which have arisen from a spirit of enterprise and adventure than just sit back and accept the status quo.

When this all comes out in the wash, a lot of people will end up with egg on their faces, and I do not think for one minute that EM will be one of those people; you do not get to be a Billionaire by being financially incompetent.

Paul Taylor will be under immense pressure to provide articles every day of the week while we are in the news, and there is only so much he can write about.

Yesterdays piece was pretty poor, and I am sure he knows that.

I always cancel my Athletic membership just before renewal time to get it far cheaper than the rate it'd auto renew at.

Though I use it more for reading about the NFL than I do Forest.

Personally I think its fine, take some of it with a pinch of salt exactly as I would with something written in the Mail or the Sun, some articles good, some distinctly whiffy.

I stand by my comments that we needed to gamble last season to stay up, every one of us who was happily singing 30 signings who gives a f*** after the Arsenal game is complicit with the club’s actions actions. However it is possible at the same time to reflect that some of those actions weren’t particularly sensible.

Anyone who does subscribe please for goodness sake turn off your auto renewal literally the second after you buy at the discounted rate. If you don’t you’ll forget and be stung for £60 which is a lot to hear about how brilliant USMNTs Matt Turner is. Agree if you are into NFL it makes the whole thing much better value.

I always like Henry Winter’s articles. Tends to write about what makes the soul of a football club and seems to have a soft spot for us.
