Big day today although I am sure we won't hear anything.

I am confident that we are okay.

Is that just a personal feeling, Sniffer, or have you been reassured?

I was reassured but not from the Greek end.

It was a chat I had with someone Nottingham based.

Worst case scenario I agree that will happen from some people. What I mean is we are on board with the owners decisions to try to keep us in the PL.
should we relegated it would be fair to say the strategy failed but so have many other clubs strategies to establish themselves. What would be unacceptable and hopefully won’t happen is if the path we have taken risks the long term financial future of the club.

Surely the obvious answer is that it will have done?

All the pro-EM messaging has been that he was our only saviour so if he gets bored who is going to, by their own admission, want to come in with such a debt burden.

Why would anyone want to attack an owner who has committed nigh on half a billion pounds into the football club?

I didn’t expect any different response, and take it whichever way you want to turn it. 

However we’ve spent 23 years trying to get back to the top flight and if those actions were to relegate us after the cost investment in getting us there then it would rank as the most stupid ownership decision in living history.

I think if the worst case scenario happens then 99% on here will be understanding and supportive.

Just the usual suspects like Widdow and Psychostooge will no doubt be piping up just like they always do at the first sign of any trouble (very rarely see them when things are going well) but we can live with that.

I still think I've been fair in everything I've said regarding the ownership, I'm not overly critical but I believe they can do much better, why is that a bad thing?

For what it's worth I heard a few days ago that we are going to be punished with a points deduction but I guess we'll see tomorrow.

No one gets a points deduction in January so I’m not sure how you’ve been told that?

Not sure that's the case anymore is it? I thought there'd been new rules brought in so punishments were dealt out in the same season now. Either way I've heard points deduction, hopefully not but we haven't got long to wait to find out.

I think and hope that is a minority view. The owner has been brilliant for this football club. Has he made some mistakes. Probably, and if we haven’t countered the numbers correctly, his appointment of those responsible for this job could be one of them. I wouldn’t have dismissed Cooper when we did but the correctness of that decision is still to play out, but if these do turn out to be mistakes they are far far outweighed by the progress the club has made under his tenure. Nobody is perfect and gets everything 100% right but my goodness we are in a different situation to what we were when he bought the club off that idiot Fawaz.

IF we have breached we find out tomorrow, then we can appeal that breach in the 2 weeks after tomorrow, If Upheld, then points deduction would be given in April/May, So I am not sure how you have been told we get a points deduction tomorrow, Even if we do it will be a lot lighter than what Everton got.

Tough one as if a significant points deduction takes up down its not good. However, if a small points deduction and fine leaves our fate in our own hands (or no points deduction) then its been worth it.

Ultimately, the scatter gun approach to signings and Coopers management last season was enough to keep us up. Its easy to slate the failed investments (Shevey, Dennis, Richards etc..) But if they had succeeded, then other players would have failed by virtue of not being in the team.

It's nice fair to say that the continued approaches that kept us up has not worked to kick us on. The manager has changed and hopefully now we have this bloated but unbalanced squad, the recruitment policy will be appropriately adjusted. If Mangala goes for profit, I understand why. If we sign a bunch of players on deadline day again then I dont.

We need a GK urgently, then other positions could do with some maintenance-but not urgently for me. But I'd take losing Mangala and signing a GK of the standard we were used to in previous 3 seasons.

Development on the pitch needs a financially astute adjustment off it now. The Owner has been fantastic in backing us and we did need to sign a tonne of players in the hope enough would work out to keep us up.

From I personal perspective, I care about the club mate, I won’t shill for the owners, each to their own. 

I don’t see my comment as horrible or vile and to respond in such a manner is verging on snowflake territory. 

The one thing we have had absolute control on last season is the management of our finances, the club have taken the moral high ground against others so if it does relegate us then it would be incompetence of the highest manner

Oh I see what you mean. I just meant we'll see tomorrow if we've breached, not that we'll get the points deduction tomorrow.
