It really does appear that we're going to be stung.
Which Article?
There is literally nothing new in that article than has already been reported.
Sailing close to the wind and if over we will use the Johnson deal as our get out of jail.
The 45.6m loss previous quoted contains numerous items that can be removed - ie 20.9mpro option bonuses.
if the EPL argue against any of those items, then the Johnson sale should support us. There are rules in the rule book around delaying a sale to get a higher fee.
i think we will be fine

The latest Athletic article
Just read it, I am not sure how they can speculate when no one knows any of the figures, Like Wages, Transfer Amortisation, Bonuses, Revenue, Academy Costs, There is lots of unknowns, Forest seem confident so lets see.
Exactly

I really hope you are right R73 I don't have the same optimism right now with the prem wanting to breach at least one club to try and show an independant regulator that they can manage the league effectively.

I'm not sure where you've seen these rules about delaying a sale, I certainly haven't. Everton will rightly be fuming if they let us off with the Brennan thing. we'd best hope we sneaked under without it. I agree with MR, I think it seems likely we've breached but hopefully by not too much so the penalty isn't too severe.
I think we can survive a 6 point penalty this year for example.

It does seem like the league are desperate to punish someone. Could be us, Everton or Wolves. Convenient that Man City’s 110+ breaches are ignored, though I think they’re UEFA’s charges.

I think it would be really difficult for the independent commission ( if it goes that for) to actually agree.
We have got a very strong case IMO

The Athletic only ever write speculative articles for 2 reasons a) it creates more interest b) they dont know.

If we pull Brennan into the last 3 year period we’re deffo gonna have to sell a big name this summer or next, otherwise it’ll be very lean pickings

Also seen an Article saying Clubs may not find out punishments until after the season if they are found to be in breach
So we could finish 9pts clear and then they give us a 10pt deduction after the season which would relegate us - seems unlikely we get any sanctions that bad or if any at all
I think PSR is the reason why no one is spending this window - When we get the 14th/15th out the way the window will probably spring to life.
The whole point of them changing when we reported to them was so they could sort out any punishments this season and not hold over like they did with Everton, it’s completely f****d

Should we be found in breach I hope the club and we as fans accept the decision and take it in good grace. I don’t want to see pathetic protests and holding Premier League Corrupt placards.
You can’t sing “30 signings, who gives a f***” then complain when it comes back to bite you. Nor am I blaming Forest, what the club and ownership decided was to give ourselves the maximum opportunity to stay in the Premier League. We had to play on the edge to have a fighting chance, it worked but it came at a cost.
We didnt cheat, we didn’t break the rules. But maybe we have bent them just a touch too far and if that’s the case, so be it and get on with the rest of the season. I will repeat this post IF that’s how it all pans out, there is little point in getting worked up about it all.

Another athletic article another mention, pinpointing us as most likely again. They say Everton might be I for a second breach but sold Gordon which is pure profit, but when mentioning Johnson and us not selling him till Sep there’s no mention that he also was pure profit.

30 signings who gives a f**k minus 10 points and we're staying up.
