Also Newcastle are going to have to sell a big player in the Summer in order to meet the limit. FFP hasn’t done what it was supposed to do, the big teams have even more spending power and the smaller teams are having to sell talent to survive.

Totally agree, it totally protects the top 6 and ensures nobody else continually and has a sustained period within the top 6. We will see teams break in for a season or 2 max then fall away with the rules as they are.

How many of the top 6 are having to sell a top player to stay within ffp constraints.

This is what I don't like and where something needs to change to make things fairer.

At the moment it's like we are not allowed to compete, we are not allowed to show ambition etc and that is just not right.

The whole thing is wrong. To be honest, clubs should be able to spend whatever they like as long as the debt is not on the clubs balance sheet but entered by capital. So no loading of commercial debt but by share capital. That way the owners will be at risk and not the club as if it goes tits up the club is only worth what someone will pay. However, this will never happen as Man U are leveraged by an enormous but serviceable debt. Top 6 club protectionism. Closed shop to champions league. So by default they get the European super league they want.

Things are starting to get drip fed out now, and again we've been quoted for needing a really argument to prevent a breach in the latest athletic article.

It really does appear that we're going to be stung.

We spend years in the Championship moaning that the Premier League is a closed shop that is increasingly difficult to enter because of how financial rules are weighted and once you get there you realise the rules are weighted even more and that we have only bought a ticket for the bottom half.

Also seen an Article saying Clubs may not find out punishments until after the season if they are found to be in breach
So we could finish 9pts clear and then they give us a 10pt deduction after the season which would relegate us - seems unlikely we get any sanctions that bad or if any at all

I think PSR is the reason why no one is spending this window - When we get the 14th/15th out the way the window will probably spring to life.

This seems ridiculous, surely the knowledge of the impact of the penalty on a clubs current position is going to affect the points penalty they are give. 

Eg if a club is 9 points above the drop zone, can just give them 8 and then they're fine. Or 10 to relegate them, it's pretty messy. It's not like the impact is in the coprrect season anyway as the season of the breach would be the one that's already finished so not sure of the need to rush it through.

They need to have certainty of the thresholds so clubs not what they are playing for and can at least estimate any penalty.

Just read it, I am not sure how they can speculate when no one knows any of the figures, Like Wages, Transfer Amortisation, Bonuses, Revenue, Academy Costs, There is lots of unknowns, Forest seem confident so lets see.
