NFFC Financial Talk
Don't get excited if you just got a Sky Sports alert saying Forest won't get any punishment - it's about the Shelvey contract termination issue.

Never. I think Cooper has to much class for that kind of stuff besides no club would touch him if when he leaves a club then he spills the beans on whatever.

Absolutely. I would image a huge positive for prospective employers is the fact that he does keep eveyrhing in house and never, ever, criticises what goes in within a club.

I genuinely think this its a coincidence this has come out on a slow news, little football week therefore its got more column inches than usual.
They will all go back to discussing VAR or what Jurgen Klopp had for breakfast soon enough.

Totally agree. With the Prem mini break combined with it being early stages of the transfer window there isn’t much else meaty for these journalists to report on. Lucky for them the Prem introduced the changes meaning they at least have FFP to report on and try to make something out of in terms of headlines as well as dragging up any dirt they have sat on like Cooper/Marinakis relationship, apparent goings on behind the scenes at the club and Shelvey.

Nowt to do with cooper- it’s simply the accounts submission date.
I just love how some can try to create a conspiracy theory out of absolutely nothing.

We beat 2 established clubs and media darlings Man U. How dare we? We must be cheating somehow? That’s what I think anyway.

Cooper left on the 19th December; the accounts did not get filed with the PL until 31st December - looks like nothing more than a coincidence.

There are far more journalists with an axe to grind, than one former manager who may or may not be disgruntled.

I guess most of them thought it’s only Blackpool, I guess like most fans and we got humbled pretty quick, hopefully nuno gives them no extra time off the next couple of weeks and it’s full days of hard work, especially with a nasty surprise possibly in our future.

I don't think it would be to much of a surprise now. Looks like we're heading in to a breach so every point is vital for survival.

Why do you think we are heading towards a breach, nothing has been said since the start of last week and everyone who reported it said we are sailing close to the wind?

Don't take this has being gospel but based on what someone said to me yesterday via Skype I don't think anything will happen.

If it does though don't shoot me down and say that Sniffer said everything was okay.

It's second hand info from the UK not from Greece.
Panic on the streets of Croydon, Derby, Sheffield, Leicestershire.

If the issue is around the timing of the Johnson sale in relation FFP for the previous period I don't see how anything can happen. FFP is as much about financial sustainability as it is about fair play.
To demand that a club surrender 18 million pounds in legitimate revenue is neither in the interests of sustainability or fair play.
To penalise a club for the profitable management (by 58%) for the sale of an asset is laughable... but then we are dealing with the English.
