As for the keeper he had absolutely nothing to do for 90% of the match and couldn't be blamed for either goal so I find criticism of his performance rather weird.

Thought my mate Montiel was poor although he was great against Newcastle and Man Utd and he did provide another assist for Dominquez.

As for their goals I prefer to rewind a bit further than Montiel's header. Toffolo's lack of desire to stop the cross coming in for the first goal was alarming and I was not surprised to see him hooked at half time. Then for the second we can rewind to Yates giving the ball away with a terrible pass, then Worrall's total lack of desire to stop the cross coming in just like Toffolo and bang we are 2-0 down.

I'm sorry Sniff, but I have to disagree with you on this one mate.

For the first goal, he was rooted a yard off his line when the cross came in. He could've gone for it instead of letting Montiel have the decision to make. Yes Toffolo shouldve done more to prevent the cross coming in, in the first place and Montiel wouldve been better heading it out for a corner, but even so, Ody should have far more command of his 6 yard box. It is a basic for Goalkeepers. Christ! I used to get that hammered into me all the time at school when i played in goal............"always cover the near post and you command the six yard area", (by Mr Belshaw!).

The second goal he kind of dives for the cross but with no extended arm to cut out the cross, so he effectively just drops to the ground offering nothing! When the Blackpool player comes in at the back post, he is already on the deck and cannot do anything to stop the shot at his near post!!

The defence were woeful for both goals, i am not denying that, but Ody was as much at fault for basic errors, which could have stopped at least one, if not both of those goals conceded yesterday.

I have said this in another post, we approached that game arrogantly. Thinking because we are PL, and Blackpool are League 1, we just had to show up to win. Wrong! For Blackpool, that was their cup final. Despite them being as poor as we were, they still showed desire. we didn't.

Just looked at the goals conceded again. First one the cross was looped in without much pressure on the crosser. I think it was too far out for Vlad to come and claim it. Montiel should have put it out for a corner but no, he sticks it back into the mixer. Second one Vlad seems to dive to the floor for the cross which he was no where near to. Had he stayed on his feet he might have got across and saved the shot. But the biggest error on that goal was the scorer ran from deep completely un picked up. No forest player had a clue where he was. I'd say 1st goal nothing Vlad could have done, second goal he could've done much better but neither were entirely his fault.

Last year worrall took his opportunity in the league cup with Boly and cooper kept with them having done well against spurs, you would have hoped he’d have done the same yesterday but he knows he’s probably the only option, where’s the Joe that slides along the ground to head a ball out for a corner with broken rib(s)

I guess most of them thought it’s only Blackpool, I guess like most fans and we got humbled pretty quick, hopefully nuno gives them no extra time off the next couple of weeks and it’s full days of hard work, especially with a nasty surprise possibly in our future.

I don't think it would be to much of a surprise now. Looks like we're heading in to a breach so every point is vital for survival.

NES said before the Blackpool game
...want to reduce the squad, but want to improve the quality....
...going to start making decisions...has to prove himself and will have a chance to play. After that we will see.

The players starting for the 1st time under him
Vlachodimos
Worrall
Toffolo

None of them have really given NES any selection headaches, or are pushing themselves into the team.

What new evidence has there been for you to conclude that we will be in breach?

I think the wording looks like in my phrase is based on the information provided and that the Premier league are hell bent on breaching a club with us the easy target. Sorry for any confusion DR

So instead of us having a long break before the Brentford game, they now have 24 hours more to rest before we play them.

TBF that's our fault for not beating Blackpool.
