Marcelo Gallardo.

Unfortunately we are too late.

He went to Saudi 2 weeks ago.

Pity that.

How many names do you think are realistically on the shortlist? Will the big man have someone lined up already, or will he be deciding still?

Athletic confirming that Julian and Oliver are regarded as high replacements, both well liked by the board

Think I’d prefer Glasner if any. Highly regarded coach, history of making average players good and had a plan B. Oh, and likes to press higher up the pitch as well as quick counterattacking transitions

Well Gallardo, Marcelino and Tite are off the list now because they now have jobs and I would imagine unlikely to leave their current posts which they have all recently started. I think EM would have fancied one of them to be honest.

So we are left with Potter, Lopetegui and Glasner which is not a bad little list unless a surprise crops up which is very possible.

Also has a bit more to prove and has more room for growth in my opinion. His tactical style is more modern and will hopefully suit our squad better

Potter would come in and return us to a 5 at the back but he's very Cooper in style tbf.

Depends if want something different.

Got a feeling this is the best option for these reasons. Like Wolves this squad is underperforming.

Whoever comes in the remit is to stay up. Non of this mid table nonsense or challenging for Europe.

Expectations need resigning in. The next manager has his work cut out.

I now think Dyche wouldn't be so bad because right now it's about staying up.

Saw Dyche suggested elsewhere and that we might go all out to get him and Woan/Stone and if we did, he’d come. Know he wasn’t many’s favourite when touted as a possible replacement last season but he and his team would at least have the club at heart.

He would've been perfect this time last season but not now imo.

I'm not so sure. Taking a relegation rival manager off them would be devastating to Everton right now.

I don't think it's such a bad idea to be honest.

All depends if EM still wants top 10 or trophies. Or understands that this league is unforgiving and could quite easily slip out of it and gamble on an unknown.

Least we know what we're gettjng wuth Dyche. And having Woan n Stone onbaord would also have it's advantages with regards us fans. Losing Cooper would soften the below with the fan base maybe?
