He did look pretty upset in the post match interview. Poor guy, he was badly let down in the last 2 games in particular.
I'd give him a massive bear hug, sit him down, buy him a beer and tell him everything will be fine! But....I would also have to ask him why he's persisting on playing 4 at the back. It's ridiculous. The squad has clearly been built for 3 cbs and wing backs. Murillo would be incredible as a middle cb, sweeping up the ball in defense, playing quarter back in attack and going for mazy runs occasionally. We have loads of wing banks currently sitting on their arses. Even our midfielders and forwards are more suited to that system. I wanted to see how playing 4 at the back would go..... but seriously, the experiment failed a long time ago.

I don't think he will have a chance to rectify this. Sad as it it, cooper will not be our manager at the weekend

Nottingham Forest coach Steve Cooper is on the brink of becoming the second Premier League manager to be sacked this week, after his side slumped to a 5-0 defeat at the hands of Fulham.
Cooper reportedly expects to be sacked, with Football Insider reporting he told friends he is “aware of the whispers” about his role.............
.........Owner Evangelos Marinakis left the game 20 minutes before full-time, and a post on social media claimed that he subsequently tossed his accreditation into the garden of a nearby home.....................

I think it's time.
He does not have the same fighting spirit in the squad as the last two years.
I don't think he has anything left to turn this around.
I wish it had been different.

I will be sad but not angry if he goes and I’m staunch cooper in. Fair play to Marinakis if he does stay but understandable if he pulls the trigger.

I will be terribly sad to see him go but 2nd season syndrome and a group of players that aren’t playing like it’s a cup final every week has sabotaged Steve. Low block just doesn’t work when you rely on a misfiring counterattack. The players available should be getting more points- simple. I do think we’ve reached the ceiling of where Steve can get us.
Thanks for everything Steve.

Is that really true though?
Lamouchi gave us some great moments and had us believing until covid f****d it up.
Karanka and Hughton both had promotion on their CV's.
I know it didn't work out for them but it doesn't make them bad managers. Hughton is very much partly responsible for where Brighton are now, he set the ball rolling for them.
