There is far too much criticism around these days, all round. Or maybe moving from talk amongst friends in pub etc to on-line has amplified everything.

Eveyone can be criticised, as long as it's constructive. I think EM gets unfair criticism a lot of the time from a lot of fans. He may not see things the way we fans but he puts his hand in his pocket a lot and does understand football I think.

That’s what this whole forum is. Pub talk. People take it far too personally.
We could all debate how wonderful everything is I suppose.
Marinakis what a guy, never does anything wrong
Steve Cooper Genius, perfection
The players. They are all brilliant, best team on earth
The City Ground. Heaven you just couldn’t improve it

No that is not what I said.
This is what I said (below)and I was talking about Greek culture in general not any individual hot head as you put it.
'' Right I think this needs saying...
Lets try and understand the Greek culture a bit more.
Greeks are very fiery, they are very passionate, they shout and rant and rave a lot, they don't give a S**t what other people think, they can be very selfish and often don't give a damn about the others, they have zero patience and they hate being told what to do.
So for those who are looking for the perfect football club or a perfect 25 man squad or a perfect transfer policy etc you are going to be disappointed.
EM is as Greek as they come and he'll do things his way which is the way described above. If you can't accept that then tough S**t because he won't change his ways. He has been a proven winner all his life and it's his way or no way.''

And what is wrong with the manager, what is wrong with our players?, we have plans in place for the City Ground.
What is your point exactly? You are moaning just for the sake of moaning.

And yet our fans still criticise our owner. Its unbelieve. Maybe we could roll the dice and see if Mel Morris fancies getting involved in football again. Or Chris Kirchner maybe?
Woah he 100% DID NOT deserve to be sacked at any point last year.

Sniffer, I get your point and not having a pop at you, but possibly because of your connections you seem to take every negative comment as a personal attack on Marinakis and get offended by them.
You say yourself NFFC is a big organisation with many individuals contributing to decisions. It was a joint effort to get us promoted and keep us there, no one individual, Cooper for example can take all the credit.
By the same token if we see things we don’t agree with, why do you assume we are having a go at Marinakis. For most of us we aren’t. We have no idea who’s decision it was to bring in both Aina and Montiel who effectively play the same position (whether you agree with that or not).
Ross Wilson is in charge of transfers, Syrianos is involved, Cooper makes choices some good, some extremely questionable.
I had a rant on here last week about the state of the toilets although nobody else seemed remotely bothered, you disgusting lot! But Im hardly having a go at Marinakis for that, its those who run the stadium, funnily enough I don’t expect EM to do a personal inspection.
We are debating all things Forest, some of its great, some of it isnt. If any of us were in charge we would make bloody awful decisions and I wouldn’t expect this forum to defend them. As said above its a pub conversation taken online.

Widdow has legit grievances, I think even Sniff above has basically alluded to that. However I guess the wider issue is that this is how it is going to be with EM in charge so we accept it or demand change (which I imagine would not be well received on this forum!). Personally, I enjoy the drama so I'm good with it, although obviously it would be nice to be slightly more efficient, although then what would we talk about?
One point of context though, I do think criticism is warranted if it is being deflected onto the manager. If Cooper is getting blamed for the unpredictable and someone haphazard nature of the squad then I think it's fair to point that out. So if the team struggles due to not having a left back for example, that's fair game. Likewise, if we get good players in and the squad looks balanced, it's fair game to suggest Coops could do more in that scenario.

Thanks SM for a well sounded response. No i don't get offended by them I get tired of them. I am sitting here typing this surrounded by wild fires and burning houses and animals and I think to myself why the hell are people moaning about us signing a World Cup winning right back.

That’s the point I am not moaning about managers players or even the owners. I appreciate what everyone is trying to do. I am making opinions and prepared to critique, I don’t keep my head in this Greek sand as I didn’t in the Kuwait sand or even Skegness sand when doughty was owner.
My comment above was trying to understand what ground rules are and if you can dare
Question what’s happening as sometimes I get impression you cannot.
Personally I like a long term strategy which is not what we have had at this club with this or previous owners. We are in premier league. Let’s stay there but let’s also do that wisely and not be bottom of every list like sustainability and even catering in the ground etc
Owner wants a top 10 club. How are they looking to achieve that?
Everyone is entitled to my opinion - COYR :)

Ive thought for a long time it would be fantastic if Forest would publish a 5 year forward view, a Plan on a Page or similar like many large organisations do. Not seen another club do it.
Just top line aims for the club and how we are going to get there, things like establishing as a Premier league club, plans for the ground, the academy and sustainability too.
Not rubbish like buy a striker for £50m and definitely not stupid slogans like “we’re serious about promotion”.
There is always the risk we get relegated and everyone laughs at said plan. But it would be great to have a long term vision we could all buy in too.
Trouble is do most Forest fans have the patience or intelligence to appreciate that sort of thing?
